Slowest 'FAST food restaurant'

Featured Replies

Big fan of the bread and lettuce sandwich, eh? Their marketing people must be the best in the business to overcome the shoddy quality of food you get at Subway. Ugh.

I worked at subway in High School. All I can say is don't eat the soup.

Hell, they're all slow! I think they hire less people to do the same workload or more. And Heaven help you if you want to "eat in". You're better off going through the drive thru, hope your order gets to you correctly, and just park and walk in and sit down.....of course that's after you clean off a spot to sit down.

It was something like that... I know we usually stayed right around that number when we had everyone in the right spots.

I can confirm that there was an optimal service time as well. I was a Wendy's line manager about 35 years ago. At that time, EVERYBODY on the line (front or drive-through) was taking care of the next customer in line. The flow of the products always went in the direction toward the coordinator of each line who would make everything and everybody meet at the tray or bag before being served. The grill person was trained to keep the right amount of meat cooking in various stages based on volume of people in line or in cars. Food was fresh and timely at Wendy's in those days. That said........................sometime when I because older in the last 15 years or so, Wendy's had to screw it all up by doing service just like everybody else...multiple money lines, cashiers taking money and criss crossing with other cashiers to get food that is sitting in holding areas, and no coordinators. Wendy's food and service has gone downhill IMO since Dave died. One Taco Bell complaint (or any fast food place that does it)...since when are napkins in the drive-through optional? I can understand asking for ketchup, but napkins??? Are these workers that dense or are the managers too lazy to train them?

All this talk about bad drive-thru experiences reminds me of Leo Getz's (Joe Pesci) comments in one of the Lethal Weapon movies. I think most of us who've seen the movie know exactly what lines I'm talking about. :lol2:

Meant to say that I have one who will only eat sub sandwiches. If a Jummy John's or Penn Station was right next door to the Taco Bell or Wendy's, etc, that the rest of us want, that is what he would get, no complaints.

Typically it's a Subway that is right in there with all the fast food freeway stops when travelling.

I stopped in Taylor Mill Mcdonalds last night with my cousin on my way home from the Pendleton Dayton game and WOW sooooooooooooooo SLOW. 23 minutes from order to getting food. That's not counting the wait to order. Wendys is always the fastest.

4 rows of 4 during rush... White, red, green on sandwiches.

Arby's in Frankfort. Terrible.

That used to be the case, but Hardee's has gotten its act together in the past decade.

Paducah Hardee's did not get the memo :lol2:

I would have bolted from the line after 10 minutes if I hadn't paid yet.
