Slowest 'FAST food restaurant'

Featured Replies

Has to be the McDonalds in Independence. Awfully slow at any time of day. Intersting that the staff is always outside smoking while cars are lined up around the building.

Steak & Shake is the slowest I've ever seen.

I wouldn't consider them fast food at all. They have people wait on you.

That's what I was thinking. I guess when SV pulls into the drive-thru at Steak and Shake he gets mad at his wait.

The Taco Bell in Highland Heights is the slowest I've ever been to and it's not even close.

The McDonald's in Taylor Mill just off I275 is worse.

As a general rule, McDonald's is not very good at drive thru service. Even with their dual lanes at many locations, they are average at best.

If you want real fast food from a drive thru, go to Wendy's. I don't know how they do it and what their process is, but every Wendy's is incredibly fast. I have been to numerous Wendy's locations and had my food sitting there at the window ready before I even hand them the money.

Arby's on Bardstown Road in the Highlands. Slowest drive through in Louisville.

If that's not at the top of the list, it's very near the top.

Burger King in Alexandria is almost always slow for me. I need a haircut by the time I get my food.

Taco Bell in general is the worst run fast food franchise. Other fast food chains have certain locations that our bad, but Taco Bell as a whole is bad. Don't get me wrong I like a Dorito Loco every once in awhile. But service is poor and slow. I actually remember in college when a Taco Bell told me they ran out of Taco meat.

If they have a Drive Thru they are Fast Food, and yes Steak and Shake is slow. Culvers is also very slow, but not Steak and Shake slow!

One of the McD's in Somerset is pretty fast and accurate the other not so much. Goes back to the managers and emphasis.

Agreed. My next door neighbor is a regional manager for White Castle. He said when the guys at corporate go out and "check out the competition", they are always amazed by Wendy's and WISH they could do it as fast as them.

Which brings me to my nominations...the White Castle in Florence can be EXTREMELY slow sometimes. And SnS (whether fast food or not) in Florence or on Mt. Zion Road, ALWAYS seems to be slow (no matter what time it is).

Frisch's is fast food then?

The summer after I graduated high school, I worked drive thru at Wendy's in Alexandria (alongside LCDAWGS19). I forget the exact time, but we were given an average time to strive for from the time the customer leaves the intercom when they place their order to the time they pull away after getting their food. I'm thinking it was supposed to be 19 seconds. LCD might be able to help.
