Ashland has 3 people that squat over 500lbs, Fields Davis, Michael Walters and Travis Gallagher.

That's not bad, but what do they do in the other lifts?

Rockcastle County

Casey Hayes-9th grader-14 years old

Bench: 250

Squat: 375

PowerClean: 300

These are maxes.

I'd almost be willing to bet there aren't any other 14 year olds that can power clean 300lbs. I may be wrong. But KUDOS to this kid. Stout as an OX. He will more than likely have 320 by the end of the month. These were 3 week old stats, so I believe he has went up since then in all categories.

At Highlands we have 3 freshman who are going to be sophomores that bench 270..

How big is this kid?

He is a tailback.

5'6

165

I heard that he has indeed increased his bench to 275 just recently.

I'm not sure exact lifts on some of these players from Rockcastle County but their reps in the 185lb bench are impressive.

Durham: 27-30 times

Robbins: 33-36 times

Hines: 24-26 times

Daughtery: 34-36 times

Those are the only lineman that I can be sure of right now, the rest are doing well into their twenties as well, just not sure of the number. I'll try to find out the lift for these lineman. I know that Rock could have 1,900 pounds on the front line counting their tight end in total body weight.

Sophomore Scott Brimer

Squat 400

Bench 310

Dead 500

Does that mean that most of these kids are over 300 lbs?

to add to Scribe, McGee has squatted 550 before.. Trigg also has a Freshman.. Henry Wharton that did 425 on squat at the same meet. he will attempt 450 at the Hoptown Best of the West Meet... Trigg's most impressive lifter

Sophmore Scott mayes. B- 225 S- 385 D- 500 PC- 260 and he weighs around 147

3 players from one team would be very impressive. Its hard enough to get 1 invite, let alone 3. Hope all goes well for them though and they each get accepted. Good luck.

Unconfirmed, but the word is that Hoskins and Breeding have been invited and will be going to NIKE Camp at the Univ of Georgia. Earls may have been invited too, but none of the kids I talked to knew for sure. It's still early - I looked on the Student Sports website, and it said that only half of the invites have been sent so far.

Also heard that Donnie Grigsby is doing some intense Combine Training with 4 or 5 potential D1 prospects, including Hoskins, Breeding, Brent Slusher from Bell Co, and some kids I don't know from Tennessee, who all have been invited to NIKE Camp. Grigsby is a heckuva trainer, and I expect all these kids to represent the Tri-State Area very well.

Also unconfirmed, but I heard that Hoskins had been getting a lot of attention from Cincinnati & Marshall, and Breeding has been getting notice from Clemson and Illinois. Slusher has a long list of D1 schools keeping in contact with him. Funny, but no one mentioned UK as showing a lot of interest in any of these kids.

I've heard that Nathan Kater from CovCath benches 375 and squats 595.

The 5 O-lineman each weigh 300 and the TE goes 400

Yes i heard that too, Not really sure on the exact amount but im sure Nathan, Nick Hudepohl and Sam Flynn can all squat High 400's or mid 500's.

5 lineman and 2 Tight Ends. That is Rock's basic line, with a two tight end set. I'd say this will definately be the look for next year. That is an average of almost 272, yes that is correct. Two of the linemen are hitting 320 and one is 298.
