Will Aaron Hernandez be able to get an un-biased jury/fair trial?

Featured Replies

Does that fact that the Patriots released Hernandez unfairly bias the public because essentially the Patriots have passed judgment that Hernandez is guilty?

My question has nothing to do with guilt or innocence.

Again, will Aaron Hernandez be able to get an un-biased jury/fair trial?

If there isn't any social agenda at play, those tend to be the cases where the fairness of the jury normally comes into question.

So much for the wonderful Patriots being able to handle any player. Maybe now the media bias about how great the patriots are in straightening out players will change.

It all depends on the jury pool that they pull from...but, my initial thought is...yes. I know most of us here on BGP are slurping sports darn near 24/7. But, there are people out there that don't follow it at all. And, even if they at least know "of" the Patriots, and "of" Aaron Hernandez, I don't think they'd be any more biased than what your normal person would be on any other high-profile case that gets a lot of media attention.

And my answer "yes", was to Guru's last question...on whether he will be able to get a fair/unbiased trial.

Yes.

I do no think the Pats cutting him will influence any juror.

It all depends on who he gets for his lawyer. Lets see, hmmm, can you say OJ?

Yes. Plenty of people have never heard of this guy.

I think he'll get a fair trial. I think he's toast though.

Yes. Plenty of people have never heard of this guy.

That would include me, just now trying to figure out what he did. Pro football not my "cup of tea".

Yes; either way, things don't look good for him considering what's came out so far.

Before coming to the NFL, he played college ball at Florida under Coach Meyer.

Yes, plenty of people out there to sit on a jury that don't even know sports exist.

Gangsta till ya get caught

Nothing wrong with owning a firearm, but this is stupidity. :ohbrother:
