10 Best War Movies???

2. Saving Pvt Ryan

3. Force 10 from Navirone

4. The Dirty Dozen

 

 

 

Those are the ones that come readily to mind.

Orrrr Navy Seals? My favorite thing to do when playing games online is quote Bill Paxton with a "God Here" line after sniping someone from a couple hundred meters out. Easily one of my favorite lines from a war movie.

Both are riveting movies in their own way. Saw the extended version of "Apocalypse" on TV a few months back.

 

Also worth viewing:

"Master and Commander"

"Gladiator" (for opening battle scene)

"Paths of Glory" (Stanley Kubrick, '57)

"Breaker Morant"

"Young Winston"

 

And don't forget about the excellent "In Country," based on the book by Bobbie Ann Mason.

Love Letters from Iwo Jima, hated Flags of our Fathers.

 

Saving Private Ryan and Full Metal Jacket are 1a and 1b for me.

They're miniseries but Band of Brothers and The Pacific are excellent as well.
