So this morning I am sitting out on my back porch, kicked bak in my zero gravity chair, surfing BGP, drinking my coffee, and listening to the birds... covered up with a blanket :lol2: It is one of the finer things in life. What are some of your "simple" pleasures?
May 2, 201313 yr Monday - getting out on the golf course with three buddies. First ones out with no one to hold us up or push us.
May 2, 201313 yr Firing up my grill and cooking myself a steak. The first time in the fall when I smell that crisp in the air. Reminds me of playing high school soccer.

What are some of your "simple" pleasures? My kids give me a hard time when we're sitting on the deck (which is right up against the woods) and I say "Shh, let's listen to the birds." Love it.
May 2, 201313 yr Did it last night. Taking a nice drive right around sunset. Windows down, sunroof open. The weather last night was perfect. Love enjoying my city like that.
May 2, 201313 yr Watching my son play basketball. I've seen him take a million shots, work on every part of his game and have coached him for many years. Still love to watch him. Frankly, I enjoy watching him more than I enjoyed playing myself.

May 2, 201313 yr On Christmas and Thanksgiving I always make it a point to go run outside. There is something so refreshing about being the only person out exercising, very little traffic to speak of, no music, and the running high I get from it.

May 2, 201313 yr Taking my boys to a football game and watching them come of age. Wrestling my little girl and always losing so I can hear her say, "I'm the winner!" Cooking eggs on Saturday morning for my wife and I while watching the Premier League game of the week and drinking coffee.
May 2, 201313 yr Sitting on the deck overlooking the city with a brewski on a beautiful Spring evening. Doesn't get much better than that. The second is playing a round of golf with my two sons and each of us trying to win. We are pretty serious if it is close in the last few holes. No $$ involved, just PRIDE. And finally, taking the grandkids to Disney without their parents. They love the ability to not hear the word "no". We are exhausted when we return, though.
