Wiggins quote from the Jordan Brand Classic of 3 things he is looking for in making his decision.

He said that the three most important qualities he is looking for with his decision are “coaching style, great facilities and great talent I can surround myself with.”

And if he goes anywhere but UK or UNC, I don't think his destination will meet the criteria. Kansas doesn't look like they'll have all that much talent coming back. FSU probably doesn't qualify for a couple of those, but I have no idea what kind of facilities they have. It just sounds like Kentucky is where he wants to go, but I'm not sure what he's waiting on. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Andrew Harrison tweeted this:

"@DrewRoc5: They finna be mad at us today"

What could he be alluding to? Probably means nothing, but worth sharing.

When UK fans bring up Harrison Barnes as an example of a player hurting his stock, why do they ignore an example much closer to home?

I think if Alex Poythress had picked Duke, he would be gone. It's obviously just my opinion, but being expected to be the man at his position from day one hurt him, whereas he would have been off the bench for Duke. In that scenario, he plays fewer minutes with less on his shoulders and his ability would have trumped his low motor.

Again, just my opinion. This is not to say he would actually have been a better player.

He's probably talking about the English teachers at his school that saw that tweet.

There is just no way of knowing or guessing about your hypothetical Duke situation. The Alex Poythress I saw this year was not going to be a Top 10 pick in the draft no matter where he went to school.

Cal has an UNBELIEVABLE history of getting guys to the NBA since arriving at UK. Simply unmatched.

Expectations of Barnes were greater than those of Poythress, but the two are similar in that no one really questioned ability, but rather the motor.

I don't think Poythress leaves after one season at Duke. Sulaimon was a top 15 guy, but he's returning even though he didn't have to shoulder much of the load.

Simply put: I think if Poythress plays with a more consistent level of intensity, he's gone regardless of his school of choice. He has everything else needed for a lottery pick except for consistent effort.

While the bolded is true I'm going to say 99% of the guys Cal has sent to the pros were going there regardless of who they played their college ball for.

Barnes stock was hurt because he had to play in college to begin with and some of his "motor" skills were highlighted. Even then I think he only dropped 2-3 spots in theory as he ended up going 7th so I am not sure how much his stock really dropped. The pending lockout is what forced him back, imo.

Barnes was a Preseason 1st team AA and AP was not...That is all you need to know...

Fixed it for you (and PP92 :D).

And was still taken 7th, 2nd at his position, in a draft which included Anthony Davis and MKG. So it's all relative.

Playing with other talent can help your draft stock as we've seen. Anthony Davis and MKG go 1 and 2 because they didn't have to carry their teams and expose their weaknesses. Harrison Barnes played with pretty good talent whereas Poythress didn't really have a whole bunch outside of Noel...maybe Goodwin. When you don't have talent around you, you don't get much better and you're forced to show weakness. Poythress was exposed. That's why he is staying.

But after two college seasons, not one.
