Glad Griner lost, I still doubt the sexuality after listening to the voice. I heard she/he was born with both parts and parents had to choose the sex. Has anyone heard that. I heard it from 3 different people who don't even know each other.

It must be true then.

UL women's basketball is the only team from that school that I root for. Congrats to HHS alum Jeff Walz! You made Fort Thomas proud, Win it all!

I didn't see any highlights on the yet. All that I have seen is when I tuned in to espn this evening the first thing I saw was the Baylor coach blasting the officials. Not one word/compliment on the UL team or coach. I am certainly not a UL fan but that was classless. She may have said something else later or in another interview but all I heard was complaining about officials.

Not at all, if I heard her right I think she said if UL advances to the final 4 it will be the biggest travesty in Basketball history. That really ticks me off on so many levels.

Has Baylor/Mulky had any real level of success without Griner? I honestly have no idea, but I don't recall them at all prior to Griner's arrival.

I heard that but thought she said "If these referees are allowed to call another game it would be a travesty". At any rate, not giving any credit at all to the opponent after a loss even if you thought that you got bad calls is imo just classless.

Yes, she is a good coach and had good teams before Griner, just obviously not as good with her.

You and I heard the same.

Walz is a heckuva coach, and his game plan worked to perfection, IMO. Huge win for the Lady Cards.

Baylor's coach was talking about the officials when she said "travesty." She was salty to say the least. The officials didn't make 16 three pointers for UofL.

The game shouldn't have even been close at that point. If the refs don't make the worst charge call I've ever seen, then UofL has two points and Walz doesn't get that technical. Poor officiating almost always eventually swings both ways.

It is true that Louisville was playing a physical game. And you know what? I recall in the second half about 5 minutes in Baylor was in the bonus while the Bears had not been whistled for a single foul. So it's not like the officials were ignoring the physicality. The Cards did what they had to do and hit an insane amount of three pointers. Their gameplan beat Baylor's gameplan, which has typically been throw it to the monster in the middle and get out of the way. It'll be interesting to see what they can do next year without Griner.

Mulkey also said in the presser that none of the blame should go to the players, that it should rest right on her shoulders. But that's not what she meant. She meant blame the officials, who she clearly blames.

To be the man, you've got to beat the man. Whoooo!

I have no idea why but I did not like Baylor at all. Glad to see their season come to a crashing halt.
