I guess McKinley High School in Lima wasn't available.

I too wonder about a venue such as the Sheakley Center for this game. From what I have seen of this venue they will need to establish a lottery for who gets to see the game live. 25 people from BW and 25 from Lima. All attendees will be responsible for posting updates on Twitter and creating blogs throughout the contest. We would have been better off having the game at the Bengals practice sight and watch it from the two bridges nearby.

Sheakley Center holds 900. Just hope fans from the first game don't stay. PLUS, you have two games at Nippert the same night, Colerain and Moeller both play, one of their opponents is a large Indiana school, 5A Pike. Good luck finding a place to park.

Maybe Coach Rash wants to start a little soft to try and keep his youngsters confidence level up while building for trying to take down Mayfield

I'm looking forward to watching Feiger. Not often you start a soph QB who has already QB'd varsity playoff games.

To Oldbird, it would be an interesting comparison to see the top three schools Beechwood played each year under Yeagle and under Rash.

Seriously, I am not sure how much input Rash has on that Skyline game. I doubt he is the one who came up with Lima.

I agree, but that is what happens when you turn over control of your opponents to these events. Plus, I am not sure they try so hard for all of their teams, not as hard as a coach or AD would have tried.

Rumor on the street is that Sheakley holds 2500, the other rumor is that Summit Country Day, CHCA, and McNick declined to play BW. Again just rumor on the street.

Not sure on who if any turned BW down, but didn't Beechwood drill CHCA a few years a go in a bowl game at Beechwood? I am thinking maybe 8 years ago? But as was said before, teams give up control on finding an opponent when they play in these events and they are more worried about the bigger games, I am sure Rash or the AD could have found at least a few teams.

Furthermore I will say, I think Beechwood does a good job scheduling for their football program. The only but I have at this point would be if I were in charge I would try to find one or two games a year specifically meant for beating Mayfield. In other words, I would ask the question what is it that Mayfield has/does that consistently beats us, then I would try to find a couple of teams that mimic Mayfield as closely as possible and schedule each of them. One home and one away each year.

 

I will go one step further and I believe I have said this before, "everything" Beechwood does as a football program should revolve around beating Mayfield.

They could both go up but the alignments in AA would mean that the only time they would play would be if both made it to the title game
