Since the Mayfield Beechwood talk is getting started, time to get this thread back up top.

I learned yesterday that BW will travel to Frankfort to play 5A powerhouse Franklin County. I am not sure of the date. Is this game a "deer in the headlights" game for the young Tigers or will it pay dividends should they have to go up against Mayfield again?

Franklin Co will be way down from what they were the last few years. They have some good young kids coming up that and will rebuild quickly but down this year.

To answer your question, its not a dear in the head lights game, I can see Beechwood winning this game. No it wont help them lose to Mayfield once again.

Coach Rash isn't afraid to schedule the tough ones. He will take the risk of a loss to get the team ready for the playoffs. Beechwood also has Lima OH on the schedule in the Skyline Crosstown Classic. Here is Beechwood's 2013 schedule:

Thanks for the complete schedule VOR. I thought I saw some time ago that Dixie was at BW for the second consecutive year similar to Cov. Cath. Did that change or was I mistaken?

New contracts this year on the schedule. Every team has to balance their schedule between home and away and with new contracts that can impact where games are played. Beechwood is at Dixie this year and I think Dixie was at Beechwood last year. But Covington Catholic will be playing at Beechwood back to back years. I am sure that has to do with both schools getting their schedules to work.

What was Lima Senior's record last year and what Division are they? Several years ago they were a very strong D1 team.

I know nothing about Lima Senior, but Beechwood rarely schedules a game where they are overmatched. Shooting from the hip here, but if the game is on Beechwood's schedule they have to believe they can complete.
