This will be the fastest Hoptown team since the 1995 team. They will have more depth on the O-Line. They will also have their biggest O-Line since the 1999 squad. Throw in Chad Brown at 6'4 250 playing TE 4.8 forty time (Cleans 270) and size won't be a problem. With younger kids developing quickly and the additions of 2 transfer Linemen along with this teams work ethic in the weightroom has the Coaches excited about next season.

Will this be enough to overtake Bowling Green in their region?

Yep!!! If the two meet up it will probably come down to the last drive. This was one of the better BG teams this year and a Tiger team that some of the self proclaimed experts said would be average at best. But Hoptown held their own with the Purples. BG returns a good nucleus with Hibbitt, Hines, and the QB's who will be stronger and have a season under their belt. Hoptown lost some good players but their losses aren't as big as some want to think. I was hoping for a better showing from BG in the finals but some turnovers forced them to do something they don't want to do unless they want to and that's pass the ball. BG likes to control the ball and clock with the running game but when the score got lopsided BG had to open it up more. It's not like they whooped BG up front. But some unforced turnovers did them in.

Does anyone know how many Mason County brings back this year? If I'm not mistaken, their home schedule includes Johnson Central, Ashland, and Lawrence this year. They gave Rockcastle a serious scare in the playoffs, so if they return any talent, they'll be tough to beat.

I think Highlands will have a very strong Defense returning several core players such as Linebackers Zach Hurtt and Luke Stein, Greg mcgraw at safety....their problem is gong to be developing a passing attack. I don't remember ever seeing them using anyone at QB but Huedepohl and Cecil.......I know Kramer is back and the Freshman Connor is slated to fill the other RB from what I am hearing.... The QB job is up for grabs from what I hear. Unless they get some size upfront, they are going to be Lex CAtholic's stepchild...... anybody know of any strong lineman coming back... I do remember Ryan Ball.... that guy has bigger guns than Triple H.....

The Birds will have good size on the line. Matt Rogers is back and another big man named Ledney who is second only to Ball in the weight room. Draper will have plenty of protection and time to throw with the big men on the line.

This just in.

Boy... your hilarious

What about my hilarious?

I wouldn't get to carried away with Jay at Qb, I'd bet Clay Cecil still has a shot at Qb also. I just think that Dale is going to run the ball more than throw and that would make Clay a better choice for Qb.

The way Dale used his "running" QB last year, he would have been better served to have Hudy throwing and Cecil recieving. IMO

I agree with Hudy throwing the ball last year, but I think that Clay will be a more physical type running Qb than Chase. I'm not to sure how much Chase liked getting hit this year.

Im thinking Highlands they turn a lot of people back. They are always a threat. After making it to the region with the people they had they seem detin to repeat once again.

Sure is amazing all the "Transfers" Hoptown gets!

Was Ledney named re-eligible? Last time I checked he was ruled ineligible due to coming from Covington Latin...

Rockcastle is definitely the team to beat in the region next season. However, anybody who thinks that the regional title is a two way race between them and Bell County may be shocked. Don't forget that Rockcastle struggled to a 20-19 home playoff win over Mason County = a team that both Johnson Central and Ashland handled much easier. I know that Ashland and Johnson Central return a lot of talent as does Rock. I am not as familiar with what Mason returns, but I believe that they were a fairly young team this past season as well.

Johnson Central will prove this year.
