Alabama 42 Notre Dame 14

I do not like McCarron in the least bit and that did nothing to change my opinion. Granted, Jones should not have responded how he did, but McCarron should not have showed up Jones like he did.

That is one intense team.

Not sure how he stacks up vs the guy he followed, McCoy? He's the backup at the Jets. McCarron has another year so who knows? He'll probably get a shot.

McElroy.

Thanks, I don't know how McCarron's skill set matches up. I do remember McElroy was one smart student.

Notre Dame fan here. Even if Alabama had not played a perfect first half (which in my opinion they did), ND still had no chance in this game. The program has come a long way under BK, but as he even said in the post game, they still have a lot of work to do.

One of my daughter's teachers at day care is a 'Bama fan and I knew I would have to face the music this morning. She told me that she is getting three T-shirts from 'Bama's store. One of them reads, "Elephants are Legends, Leprechauns are Myths." OUCH!!

Gross.

I didn't even watch after the first quarter.

This playoff can't get here soon enough.

So the SEC/Bama can dominate that too?

Don't know if Alabama is that good or Notre Dame was that bad. Think Ill go with Bama being that good. Are we allowed to consider Alabama football a dynasty right now?

Dynasty..... I thought about that a bit myself yesterday. I'm thinking they're making one as we speak.

1) Johnny Football - is not impressed.

He seem impressed on twitter...

Have all the respect in the world for Notre Dame and Manti Teo but I've gotta say it. ROLL "Darn" TIDE #SEC7

The thing thats awesome is not that Alabama was physical last night, its that they were BRUTAL. ex. Eddie Lacy running through Te'os arms...or using 1 arm to throw a safety to the turf. They have been Sabanized and they just don't care what is in the way. Then they execute the plan with razor sharpness.

Lacy shows moves that I have not been since Barry Sanders. The way he jumps sideways to avoid tacklers is fun to watch, well, unless you are a fan of the team trying to do the tackling.

I do find it odd the stir that AJ's girlfriend created. People were actually surprised that the starting QB at Alabama had a smoking hott gf? Or they were just bored with the game?

She's just with him for the money he's coming into. Not sure why its such a shocker.

For as crappy as they performed they were the lone undefeated team remaining and earned the right to be there (and be exposed). They were "overhyped" in to the #1 slot? Took them all season to rise that high. They started off ranked #24 in the AP and unranked in the coaches poll. That is "overhyping"? Not as if they were in a mesh of 1 loss teams and got the nod. The other teams dropped the ball. I think the ND hype machine angle is blown way out of proportion.

I am not saying they didn't deserve to be in the game. Under the current system, they did. But there have been 11 undefeated teams that did not make it to the title game. Still, as much as I don't like ND, I would have been upset if they did not get into the title game. I just get tired of hearing about ND from everyone, including the media, every year when they have accomplished nothing special in the past 20 years. I didn't like it when ND got their own TV deal from NBC. Those type of things irritate me. Just like I am sooooo tired of hearing about the Dallas Cowboys. Same thing. Overhype.

The "glass half full" viewpoint for ND fans is that 2013 was the year fans were pointing to.

She might make more than him someday.
