Costas goes anti-gun at Halftime of NBC NFL game

Featured Replies

I have not seen it the actual footage yet.

Costas apparently directly blamed handguns for the KC player and his girlfriend's deaths during half time of tonight's NBC game.

This should be interesting...

A disturbed and troubled young man murdered his girlfriend and then took his own life...this is not about guns it is about much bigger issues than that.

When Costas cited Jason Whitlock's words as a voice of reason, he lost all credibility with his rant.

You mean Costas had some cred to start? He needed to be off air a long long time ago, he must have something on someone at NBC.

What The Scribe said. As soon as he said Jason Whitlock he failed us all.

And blaming this tragedy on guns is as dumb as blaming it on head injuries in the NFL.

I agree, I was extremely disappointed in Costas and NBC for allowing that garbage.

I was alittle upset that Sunday night football took the "political" turn. Is nothing sacred?

That is my beef too. I tune in because I love Pro Football and want to be entertained. What I sure as bleep don't want to hear is Bob Costas' political opinions whether I agree with them or not.

If Bob wanted to help how about some commentary about mental illness and the kind of "sick" brain it takes to murder your girlfriend and then commit suicide especially considering it leaves a three month old baby with no parents. This had nothing to do with guns and everything to do with mental illness.

Dangit Bob!! I like Costas but c'mon man.

They want to creep into every part of our lives. Feed enough people their lies until their agenda gets passed.

If a guy was deranged enough to kill his girlfriend and himself, then the tool he used to do it with should not be an issue. He would have done it with a butcher knife if that was what he had. Too many people try to pass blame where it doesn't belong when it comes to firearms. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

Haven't we heard for years how hip hop and video games are detrimental to society?

With guns

And knives, and bats, and cars, and bombs, and chemicals, and water... should I continue or do you honestly believe guns are it?
