Without a doubt the worst embarrassment in the history of U.K. basketball . Polson was the only player that put out any effort at all. Should everyone on that team play with Polson's heart then we would have no problems. Harrow as far as I am concerned can walk back to Lexington, I have never seen such a soft/cry baby (I have a more fitting term) U.K. basketball player. "If" anyone on this team cares( besides Polson) they should watch a film of the Vol players laughing at them on several occasions, sickening. Just to clear it up if anyone is unsure.....I'm upset Can you transfer some of that fire to some of the UK players? I think WCS also puts out effort, just lacking in basketball IQ right now. Cal said the only 2 that fought today were Uncle Julius and Polson. Said he has a couple of players that are uncoachable. He is the ONLY one who does what he is supposed to, as well as playing with heart and playes hard! Something only 1 or 2 other players can say. Far from "sucking". Archie is just a dumb baskeball player, might be a great kid and a bright student, but he's a dumb basketball player. Alex just doesn't have any passion and that is something you have or you don't. Not sure how much interaction Cal has with these kids before UK but there is no way he could want them on his team at this point. This team is so soft and mentally weak the D&D has nothing to do with it. Heck, this is the worst passing team I can ever recall. It is what it is. Will the freshman who stay be the mature leaders for next year's crop of freshmen? To do so, they're going to have to mature a lot and quickly. Same goes for Harrow. These kids at this stage just don't seem to have any pride in their personal performance on the court. They don't seem to feel any embarassment for their bad play and lack of effort. The majority of teams I watch on TV each week play harder and smarter than this crew. IMO Cal has not pushed the right buttons with this team. I'm sure he's tried and is extremely frustrated. I feel like those qualities of the when & how tie in to overall basketball IQ. Some players don't have that feel for passing and I think it can be developed but these guys need to become students of the game and start understanding what they are and aren't good at and also what they can and cannot get away with in the college game. This collection of cats especially Archie, Alex, & Ryan just seem to me like very talented athletes who have yet to grasp how to actually play the game of basketball. Cal's offense, while not the dribble drive that he implemented at Memphis does have some read & react principles that require players with some type of basketball acumen. Archie looks selfish at times when I think really the problem is he never had to learn the game as he could get to the basket and finish over everyone at will probably his whole life and never developed the student of the game aspect like a less athletic player (I.e. Kyle Wiltjer) had to.

I could be mistaken, but, I believe the question asked to Cauley-Stien and Noel was "who is YOUR favorite UK player", not who is the best UK player...
February 24, 201313 yr Just did in an interview. Not the school, not Coach Cal, the players. Said they're entitled, have no sense of UK history, and don't fit the "Kentucky" mold. Probably not the smartest thing to say for a guy who's team gets to get obliterated by the Cats Wednesday. Should be interesting how Coach Cal reacts. One thing he doesn't put up with is people attacking his players. He's right though. I personally have no problem with his remarks. Sure there are soome on the team that understand what playing for UK means, but I really question ssome of the others. I understand they went there to get to the NBA as a high pick and all, but it's really hard to think of some of the players the way I think of past players and what they meant to the Univesity.
