November 14, 201213 yr While that could very well happen, I imagine Duke would improve as well... Exactly. Duke has plenty of room to grow. I think you can expect solid nights out of Plumlee, Kelly, and Curry. When those other role players start making things happen Duke can be that much better.

I remember the same rallying cry by me in the first game of 1979-80. Bowie out played Gminiski and I told myself, "Give us just one more chance at the end of the year and we'll show you who is best." I was in Rupp that March night in 1980 and watched as Macy missed the jumper and Duke beat the Cats again by 1. Bowie was a non-factor in that game. A lot happens to both teams between a "now and then." All the Cats can do is work harder to get better because of work, not age.
