Congrats to Panthers and the Birds for geat night of High School football.My birds did not win but now I can feel pretty good about saying they are number two in the Commonwealth after this showing.......

Yup, the offensive line for Elder was dominating and giving their back 3 yrds off the ball automatically. He didnt even have to cut much, just fell forward.

 

I thought Zach Harris showed tremendous speed and effort tonight on many of his runs.

 

Too bad the Kickoff return by Seidle got called back. He blew by everyone and took it to the house.

 

Nice effort by the Birds defense, they just ran out of gas at the end.

 

McCoy put together a couple of sweet drives there at the end.

Have to give special props to the defense tonight. Even though you faced a mighty force across the line, there was a lot of gang tackling, good technique and extra effort. At least, that's what I saw with my untrained eyes. Good job Birds, all the way around! :thumb:

Wow! What a game. Imo best game Birds played all year and it was a loss. Will be very difficult to beat the Birds the rest of the way. It's Ryle week now for Variety. That will be UGLY!

Not that it means much but I would interested in the total yards for each team. HHS offense did a nice job against Elder. Good game by the Birds. The game was closer than the score indicated.

Great job by the defense? They got run over tonight (probably gave up over 300 yards rushing) and gave up 38 points. I know Elder is good (not great by Cincy standards but pretty good), but I cannot call that a great defensive effort - I cannot even call it a good defensive effort.

They held Elder to 17 points thru 3 qtrs. The int changed the game from there. They were on the field way too long and it showed in the 4th......21pts in one qtr vs. 17 thru 3. I say, "Good job, D."
