I think someone forgot this thread was about the Elder/Highlands game on Friday.

Oh, and by the way how about a shout for the Highlands O-line? They have done a great job this season.

 

I thought the Highlands O line had another outstanding game. I agree with you; from my very close observation, they have done a great job.

 

While I'd have preferred Highlands win of course, this was a great game. Even though Elder won by 14, those were two pretty evenly matched teams out there. Very proud of the effort and performance by the Birds.

 

I'm sure the Birds will put this game behind them; learn some things from the loss; refocus; and move on to hopefully another state championship.

Highlands competition is scarce aroundthe NKY area. Why don't they at least move up to 5A where the competition would be better for them?

 

Highlands was in 5A for a few years. They never lost to a 5A team in that time period.

I was at the game, the running game for Elder (# 21 ) was dominant. The int, and Highlands kickoff return being called back in the 2nd half were game changers. Fun game to watch. Elder had a great fan base at the game. Other than the outcome of the game, it was a fun night.

Yeah, it was great. And the best part was when they called it an upset. I was picturing everyone over in Price Hill going balistic! :lol:
