9PM Romney brags that he'll create 12M jobs. // 10:30PM Romney exclaims "Government does not create jobs! Gov't does not create jobs!"

Government doesn't create jobs but they can stifle job growth. Just as Romney explained.

My initial reaction is that this was as good of a debate as Obama could have asked for. Romney had a jab or two, but he also was pinned down on a few question/answer exchanges. Obama was energetic and hit his points. Who knows how it will affect polls and such, but my hunch is if the last debate swung the election toward Romney, this one must let Obama reclaim some of his edge.

Next debate is in Boca?

Better be over by 6:30 or the audience will be sleeping.

They better have it at a Golden Corral

And if the government 'unstifles'(I know, not a word) job growth for the sake of adding jobs then the government is still creating jobs. Semantics.

You didn't build that.....:D

Obama with 44 minutes. Romney with 40 minutes.

A moderator shouldn't be allowed to step in and back-up an untrue statement by one candidate.

No doubt she basically vindicated Obama and come to find out they were both wrong.

I wish some of those asking the questions would interupt these two when they start with their talking points, and say, "you are not answering my question". It gets old hearing the same crap over and over. :isurrender:

George Will called the debate the greatest presidential debate ever.

Certainly the most tense.

If you're going to turn around and accuse the President of something you had best be 100% sure you're correct. Someone is going to get slapped by the Gov in regards to "act of terror."

Cue the "that's not what he really meant" lines in 4...3...2....1 .

Definite improvement for the President. I also thought Romney was as strong as the first debate. Until the Libya question, I would have given a slight edge to Romney, or maybe a draw. But I thought Romney handled the question very poorly, and coming in, I thought he would score big points with that subject.

End of the day, I say it's a draw. But as Habib pointed out, I think this likely shifts the momentum of the race back to the President, though in a smaller way.

I thought he said that we will stand up against any act of terror but never said that it was, in fact, an act of terrorism for roughly two weeks.

I guess that could be conveyed as the same thing but I thought he kept it vague in case it was a protest.

Impossible with these two candidates.
