Also, everyone is hammering Candy for backing the act of terror claim but she also called out the president that he did not clearly declare it a terrorist attack for two weeks.

Hey now!

I am not talking about on here. I am talking about what I am watching on TV.

We've already had a few posts in this thread.

The Governor should have said something like "Mr President, have you and your team come to an agreement on what the story is going to be? First you said a movie then your aide said something else then your VP said you guys didn't know about it. Let us know when you come up with the final version."

Instead, he looked like an idiot by saying "you said the words 'act of terror'" when it was known that the POTUS used those words. He came across as trying to win a minor battle instead of the war.

Exactly. Romney tried to make it a semantics battle and ended up getting hung on it. Should have stuck to a larger point, whatever it is.

CNN poll has Obama winning 46% to 39%.

7% margin in both major polls. It will have little impact on the race. At the least, it stops Obama's bleeding. At best, he nudges back ahead of Romney.

Not only that, but Romney did not seem to know that Obama used the words "act of terror" in the Rose Garden the next day. Romney would not have gone after him so hard about why he didn't call it an act of terror if he knew that.

Do you base that on wording in his speech or something else?

The wording in his speech, he obviously wasn't talking directly about the Libya attack.

I think the main thing is that the narrative changes from Obama getting blown out in the first debate to Obama coming back in the second. I'd wager that the narrative matters more than what actually transpired.

The wording in his speech, he obviously wasn't talking directly about the Libya attack.

I read the entire speech. I'm not sure how one can say what you claim. It can certainly be speculated upon but it's far from definite.

I want to see Shawn Hannity and Racheal Maddow debate each other and ask the candidates questions in a debate.

So if the day after he called it an"act of terror"

Why for the following weeks did Obama and the rest of the administration blame it on a video?

You can play that video all you want ,but it doesn't explain why you go to the UN and claim it is and random act of violence due to a video 2 weeks after the event.

I agree with you. As Clyde and others posted above, Romney flubbed how he handled this issue big time. I really think Romney was unaware that Obama made the act of terror statement and that threw Romney off, especially when Candy Crowley confirmed Obama said act of terror. This is one foreign policy issue where Romney can nail Obama and he missed the opportunity.

It still is what it is. Obama screwed up royally in Libia. What ever Romney says about it or not, as citizens we should be able to see what it is . An attack on the United States and Obama covered it up.

Someone may have mentioned this in an earlier post, but can the ppl they chose to read the questions memorize them or at least not read them word for word off a card. I know middle schoolers with better public speaking skills...makes them look like clowns! What an embarrassment!
