You are absolutely clueless! Why do you worry so much about a team your kid's 6A program wouldn't even dream about playing. You don't even have to face them and it's the number one thing on your mind constantly. Get a life! I'm not going to respond with all the reasons, because you can go back and look at all the answers you've gotten all the other times you've accused HHS of recruiting.

 

What in the world do you think they do or could even get away with?? HHS is so by the books. They would be silly to even try anything because they are under a microscope. You don't think that EVERYONE in NKY would love to see HHS fall. If the recruiting was so rampant, don't you think something would have been exposed by now. A disgruntled player's family that didn't get the playing time they were promised or something. c'mon man, there are way better things to worry about other than a high school program that is clean as a whistle. You need to go have a beer with an HHS fan that know about the program. Sit and talk about every kid. You would be amazed where these kids come from and the history with the program. The generations of family that were connected with the program. The parents of other kids that brought their kids (at a very young age) to Ft. Thomas because of the schools and the programs offered. Many before they even knew if their kid would even like football. It's a culture in Ft Thomas that you just can't comprehend and your jealousy reeks out of you.

 

If HHS tried to recruit, it would take all of one day to get caught. Every person outside of Ft Thomas would love to be the person to take them down! It just doesn't happen!

 

The team speed is very easy to explain and has already been said. But let me put it to you this way. HHS is not a big school. They aren't blessed most of the time with a lot of big kids. They do have some now because their junior class was a big class. But heres what HHS would do against your son that has increased his speed to 4.9 and is a big kid...they would put and ex-running back that is about 50lbs lighter than your son, teaching technique and have the kid beat him off the ball on every play. Then once your son was tired of chasing him, they would bring in a second ex-running back and your son would chase him for 5-6 plays. They don't care about size. Its a bonus for them to have size.

 

And about the off-season, it's great that your son attends and gets a lot out of it. However, do they ALL attend and put their heart and soul into it. Maybe they do, but that's what it takes. Not just a few good players. HHS has kids that may never see a snap that attend workouts like it's Christmas mass!

If I'm a coach considering scheduling HHS and I can see from game tapes that a school of roughly 400 males can put more team speed on the field than a school with 1250 males, that also does not have to compete for its athletes, that was 2 td ahead of Trinity in the 4th quarter, I don't consider it.

 

It was a nice picture of sweeperboy's home gym though. I appreciate the confirmation of private facilities and expect that the whining of the inadequacies of HHS facilities will now cease!

If I am a coach of a 6A school I schedule the closest thing I can find to Trinity and try to teach my kids how to beat them. If I lose the game I use that as a learning tool. The road to a 6A state title does not run run through Independance, and doing what you have been doing will not work. Instead of trying to run successful programs down you might try to figure out what you might take from them and use in your own.

I am not apologizing for anything. I asked how HHS can put more team speed on the field than Scott County , and you collectively, have not answered the question. Given the inability of HHS to schedule, I believe you are not comprehending on exactly whom the burden of proof of lies.

Jolmstead, you mention that HHS has a burden of proof to meet. What exactly do they need to prove? Typically, people use the phrase burden of proof in the context of defending against allegations... What exactly are you alleging that HHS is doing which requires them to disprove???

First Ryle, then Boyle County backs out? Could there be a perception that HHS success has its roots in more than just great coaching and tradition? Putting more team speed on the field than Scott County, a program with three times as many male students and little to no competition for athletes should be an eye opener. Especially when the HHS community itself labels its own training facilities as mediocre.

 

You did not accuse, you implied or inferred that HHS was doing something improper. The post quoted above was followed by the one about your son's spectacular gains and high effort level to achieve, and further implied that HHS has to be doing something improper because his effort is as good as it gets. Now you say we have some "burden" to justify the teams speed. For nearly twenty years now Mueller led teams have bee predicated on speed,speed, speed. What proof do you need? It is, and has been on the field every Friday night.

You have questioned on this board the enrollment of kids, the strength of schedule, and the training methods of the team. You are wrong on every account and as it relates to the training methods you crossed the line.

What I suggest you consider is no longer trying bring HHS down and start asking some questions about your own program and you might figure out how to bring it up a notch or two.

This thread has gone off on one of those tangents that is totally unrelated to the topic. The real question, at this point is, who is going to take Boyle County's place on the schedule. It is too bad that Boyle County has dropped out.
