Who will replace Mike Glaser at X? Will Wolford??

Featured Replies

I see some of you think it will come within the program but others are certain it will be an outside hire.

So, who will replace Mike Glaser at X?

This is a fantastic question. I wonder if they will wait until the season is over to announce it or if they will want to allow for a sense of continuance and stability by announcing mid-season.

Some names come my mind, of people that I would certainly, at worst, think about:

Stefan LeFors

Ty Scroggins

Mike Jackson

Andrew Coverdale

Todd Walsh

Out of State?

Hard to tell

I am sure most of those coaches don't want us throwing their name up but Mike Jackson would be a very interesting hire.

Good list RP!

Of course, when X posts the opening it should be a national search.

Stefan

LeFors was offered the job of OC with the intention of being head coach in waiting last year but turned it down because he was already a head coach and no one could tell him when coach Glaser would retire!

If they stay inside, it's Walsh. Maybe offerring the OC was a way to take someone inside. I've heard both a search, and not a search from the powers that be. Lefors might be a good choice. I just don't know if they go completely outside without at least one year to learn the ins and outs of the program, not the coaching part. Walsh I think has been expecting it, and may be Coach Glaser's choice. Alan Donhoff has done a good job with other hires (Basketball, cc, tennis, swimming, golf, soccer), with the word still out on track and baseball.

I'm certain that inside or outside, X will make a great choice. They should have no shortage of coaches interested.

I can't imagine a scenario where BGP Nation would be negative about this hire. This is a high profile program, nationally. They should be able to pick from a great list of coaches.

I am fairly certain the Trinity faithful are hoping they hire from within.

What we hope, and what we realistically expect are two very different things.

Surely you jest?

Heard an interesting name today.

Chuck Smith.

I know he has a job right now, but what if they make a change at UK?

Many of the T faithful were saddened by the news of the Coach's departure. We wish him all the best.

Now that would be an interesting choice.
