I have no idea what President Obama is holding back but I sure as hell do not expect the POTUS to show the world every piece of information he is privy to. Asinine.

My previous point is not particular to this case. It may be prudent . It may not be in this case. We don't know because we don't know what he's keeping under the covers.

F&F is not going to have an impact on voting in November. Even if Holder gets nailed it's not going to have an impact.

The only way FF would impact November is through this executive privilege business. I think most people can understand what withholding information through executive privilege means, and they probably find it grimy, but the gun thing is a little more technical (and I'm still not exactly sure what the issue is there).

I've got a strong feeling that before election day, a whole lot of folks are going to have heard about FF a whole lot; unless they don't watch TV, listen to radio or look at their mail.

Fair point. Then again, would you expect a president that made a big issue of transparency when he ran and attacked the then current administration on its lack of transparency, to make a greater than normal effort to be transparent? I would. That's not politics or ignorance either my friend. That's simple logic.

 

Part of me wants to trust President Obama on the need to protect vital information. Part of me thinks there's some damaging info in the files that could hurt his re-election efforts, motivating the President not to disclose it. To ignore the latter possibility is likewise either ignorant or playing politics.

 

Hope the matter goes to court and a judge reviews the information and then rules on the matter.

Lot's of guns were allowed to "walk". Two of those guns showed up at the scene of a shooting where a boarder agent was killed. First, gun walking is no no. Second, the ATF/DOJ did a terrible job of keeping track of the guns. They lost most of them and basically armed the bad guys.
