But how do we know if such is the case? Which is why I'd like some sort of prompt judicial involvement whenever the Exec privilege is invoked to withhold info requested by the Leg. branch.

Lots of documents get turned over or made public with lots of black out. Remember I posted months ago that this would characterized as rogue field op and they were trying to pin on a lower level officials outside of the offices in Washington. That obviously did not work. So now the authorization and responsibility is at least with Holder and his office if not higher. This getting more and more like Watergate every day in terms of trying to keep what is obviously at best a 'botched' operation with deadly results out of the responsibility of the AG or the White House itself. For those to young to remember Watergate or who need a refresh on abuse of power at the highest levels a good movie is "All the Presidents Men". The movie is very true to the facts with the script almost coming from the Washington Post articles. Like F&F there was an illegal operation gone wrong. And the key actions done by high level US officials were to cover-up the direct involvement of White House. It took 2 years for Woodward and Bernstein to expose the fact that illegal activities were run inside in the White House and executed with the knowledge and direction of the Attorney General - John Mitchell. Not only did Mitchell go to jail but so did his successor - Richard Kleindienst. The parallels are getting very interesting. Attempts to keep the activity isolated and out of the offices of the AG and WH, involvement by the nations highest law enforcement officer, and now the invoking of executive privileged. Next step - Congress demands WH recordings on tapes....rather computer mp3 files....
June 22, 201214 yr I thought that we pro-2nd amendment people only held shooters responsible for gun crime, not those that sold them the weapons.I'm as pro-2nd amendment as they come and I think if you're selling guns to known criminals you should be responsible. In this case, our government was doing just this, they should be held accountable.

Can't wait till this crook is ousted from our white house... 2017 sounds good to me. He can give the keys to President Clinton or President Biden. I like the idea of those folks in our white house.

Not at all, I think everyone recognizes that a seller who knowingly provides a weapon to someone who they know can't legally purchase it bears responsibility.
