Pendleton County 7-14 Silver Grove 2-1

Recommended Posts

The Wildcats swept a double header from Silver Grove in two close games (scores not withstanding).

In the first game Pendleton led 4-1 going into the sixth and put up three runs to push the score out. Zach Louden (sophomore) pitched well enough to earn a win for the Trains giving up only 2 earn runs over seven innings.

In the second game 8th grade pitcher Briley Seiter continued to give the Trains quality innings and when he left the game he had only given up 2 unearn runs in five innings and left with the Wildcats clinging to a 2-1 lead. After scoring both runs in the first inning the Wildcats struggled to muster any more threats until he came out. Pendelton then added 13 runs off the next two Silver Grove pitchers to put the game away.

Freshman catcher Christian Pollitt continued his year long hot hitting for Silver Grove collecting three hits in the double header, while Seiter had 2 hits and a walk and freshmen center fielder Billy Miller added 2 hits in the 2 games.

Kudos to the Pendleton players for picking up two road wins today! If some one from Pendleton with some official stats could post the winning pitchers and some hitting leaders they definitely deserve some credit. (#28 pitched a real nice game in the second game).
