Franklin-Simpson hires Doug Preston

Doug Preston announced as new head football coach. Same guy who led Bullitt East to state championship a couple of years ago. This will be a very good match for school and coach Preston.

Doug Preston announced as new head football coach. Same guy who led Bullitt East to state championship a couple of years ago. This will be a very good match for school and coach Preston.

Bullitt East was actually the state runner-up. Preston seemed to do a good job there, and reports at the time indicated his ouster there may have been as much politics and personalities as anything else.

 

His principal will be former coach Tim Schlosser and Franklin-Simpson has always been a football school. It seems like a good match.

Great hire for FSHS. Anyone that knows the Bullitt East situation realizes that it was just a case of an outsider coming in wanting to do things his way and some of the old timers around not wanting to relenquish their role in the program. I think the FS people will be extremely happy with this choice.
