March 23, 201214 yr I'm gonna think more on this one. Right now I'm going between John Lee Hooker, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Ryan Adams, and The Rolling Stones. Muddy Waters, Lightnin' Hopkins, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, and The Boss were close behind those in the runnings. Muddy and Lightnin' got shot down because I'm just more fond of Hooker in general - I still love them both, but those two combined come up with about the same number of favorites as John Lee. Zeppelin doesn't have enough quieter/slower tunes in their catalog. Radiohead would need to have some uplifting tunes to stay in the hunt. Springsteen was tough to cut, but I have several albums of his that I skip numerous songs on when I'm listening to them on CD or my iPod. I'll get back to you on this one...
March 23, 201214 yr Well, it's a tight race for me between Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, sure makes for a tough choice. I guess I'd lean toward Led Zeppelin.
March 23, 201214 yr This is tough. It's gotta be someone with a body of work that is varied, has longevity and long-term "listenability". I have some I could put out there, but I think I should think some more on it.
