A Sophmore from Leslie County High School.. Stephanie Caudill, a shotput thrower throws 27 feet in shotput.. do you think that it is good, that she throws so far, & she is so young? :confused:

I dont think you could consider her that young and 27' would be average at best. If she is throwing 27' now hopefully it will increase this season and the following two years. I dont see anything to worry about even if she was throwing further.How far she throws isnt a problem as much as how much she may be (or not be) training. :thumb:

She started last year, when she was a freshman, but her teamates which was a senior was throwing about 2 feet more..

If I had a freshman throwing 27 I would be happy . Id start looking down the road and try and improve a few feet a year and improve my technique. At that rate she would be throwing "close" to 40 ' be her Sr. year. Good Luck to her this season ! :thumb:
