  1. An informal poll is being done to see if any schools would like to try it March 22nd at the Mason County facility. I cant see a lot of "yays" to this but we'll have a better picture tomorrow evening.
  2. As of right now the first game is scheduled to go off moday @ 4:30 PM.
  3. Mason Dixon Club has just made the decision to cancel the games. conditions here have changed . Please check the listserve for more info. Thanks Don Goodwin Mason Dixon Games Meet Director
  4. We just cancelled so I will add a new post stating this
  5. Very unlikely we will cancel. If we did there is no way to reschedule at Broadbent Arena. Hopefully this situation will work out.............some kind of way.
  6. The start times for tomorrows games have been changed to 12 noon. All games have been moved up about 4 hours. This is due to the threat of bad weather tomorrow.JCPS schools are out of class anyway. Ballard vs Jeffersontown 12:00 Eastern vs. Seneca 1:30 Fairdale vs. Shawnee 3:00 Central vs. PRP 4:30
  7. If the weather holds up ill be there filming for the Bruins :thumb: Ive seen almost every game and i couldnt tell you how it might go. Depends on which group of kids step on the floor. theyve had some great wins and some strange losses.
  8. It will be at UL next year its already been decided. UL has as much or more parking and seating as UK. :dancingpa
  9. Ill be there friday & saturday for the 3A. this is my last time as coach. Next year ill probably be officiating the state Meet at UL :ylsuper:

  11. As good as she is, she is only ranked 2nd in the State with a throw of 37' 9.5 inches...she is no were near the national leader of 52' 6.5 inches. My personal opinion is that none of these girls owes anyone an explanation as to why they didnt tryout. It was an invitation not a draft. Letting the coach know would be a decent thing to do, but i dont think its anybody elses business.
  12. The results for this meet can be found at http://www.ktccca.org/2007tf/07tfresMarshall%20CountyMarch27All-Comers.htm
  13. For Ballard Jonathon Gholson ( receiver ,preferred walk on at UK) ,TJ Pryor (starting QB), Eddie Studdard, Andre Gardner (receiver) and Marcus Miller. Miller and Gholson had great seasons in their one and only year of varsity football at BHS. Gholson is attending UK as a walkon.
  14. I did a little research John Boy and the answer to your question is 1966 was the first year that Louisville had two of the sixteen regions. I can send you a link(PM) to all the tournament brackets from the 1930's to the present if you would like to look at it.
  15. I dont like the new Trophy's either. This looks like a great question to poll. Im sure money is behind( or not behind) the new trophy's. Basketball has a big time sponsor which accounts for the massive trophy the boys receive.
  16. It had to be further back than that. I always remember there being 2 regions in Louisville. At least as far back as 1967. I vaguely remember the city schools were 7th(Male ,Shawnee) Region and County schools were 6th (Valley, Thomas Jefferson, Butler). You can probably get that info from one of the state tournament programs though.
  17. On the schedule I received in Novenber it isnt on there. So my point was it wasnt cancelled because of over scheduling. Im sure no one knew then how deep they would go in tournaments.
  18. Ballard didnt have a game scheduled for this week. They have two days out of school and the time will be used to rest the kids and work on some thing the latter part of the week. They had J-Town , North College Hill and Male in less than a weeks time last week. Scheduling some downtime sounds like a good idea to me.
  19. Here are some pictures from that meet. they are best viewed using the "slideshow" option at the top of the page:thumb: http://mko1.photosite.com/masoncountyindoorinvitational/?refcd=ea
  20. Ballard did win this game . They also defeated North College Hill last night 82-76.
  21. J-Town led by as many as 20 in the first half and had a 14 point lead at the half.Like a lot of teams they eventually ran out of gas and gave up the lead in the 4th quarter Bassey(J-Town) was unstoppable in the first half. he didnt do much in the second. Beckham also saw limited action because of foul trouble. Ballard has Atherton on Friday night and a OJ Mayo-less North College Hill on Saturday night. They come back next Tuesady with Male for the second time. Four games in less than a week:cool:

  23. this hasnt been voted on yet. It still would have to be voted on by the Board of Control I heard. it would also take a few years to implement since a large group of kids would have to be grandfathered in by the old rules.
  24. Our team plans on running in the Feb. 10th meet . They also have a MS meet scheduled on the 17th of Feb.From what I heard yesterday at UK there may be a few more Louisville teams coming to the 2-10 meet. A National Federation rule about competing against non HS sanctioned athletes (Oak Hill type schools & unattached track athletes) is making it hard to find legal meets. I do like the fact that it is a team scored meet in which we can run our whole team. it will be a new type venue and I hope the kids enjoy it !
  25. Out of all the things ive read in this thread this has to be the worst. Some would be considered poor judgement on somebody's part................This is just cheating and I cant imagine a parent or athlete going along with this.
