2016 -32 Starts 2.79 ERA 18-5 - All Star ($16M)

2017 - 25 Starts - 4.52 ERA 8-8 ($22M)

2018 - 9 Starts - 3.23 ERA 3-2 - ($22M)

33 and owed $66M over next 3 years and a team option on the 4th year for $22M and $5M Buyout.

Makes one thing very clear, when the Reds do develop an arm, do not resign said arm to a big deal, or at all for that matter.

Hard to believe that he's been gone from the Reds this long already.

Wasn't feeling too well yesterday so slept most of the evening. Checked some box scores and saw Barnhardt played first base for Redlegs last night. Huh? I realize Votto is hurt but was Dixon not available?

Now that I've thought about my earlier post above, could be they wanted as many left-handed bats in the lineup against Kelly as they could get.

Castillo could be so good if he would challeng the strike zone like this all the time. He just has such good stuff that he doesn't need to stay away from hitters like he usually does which runs up his pitch count and cuts his days short and gives the opponent free base runners when he nibbles.
