Runcible Owl
Former Covington Catholic coach and athletic director Jack Kaelin will be inducted into the KY-USATF/KTCCCA Officials Hall of Fame today. His induction will take place tonight at the KHSAA headquarters in Lexington. Over his 50 years of service at Cov Cath, Coach Kaelin was a tireless organizer and promoter of many high school events across numerous sports. Many athletes, fellow coaches, officials and schools over the years have benefitted from his work behind the scenes. I remember Jack organizing the first Northern Kentucky Track and Field Officials Association in the late 1970s from a group of fellow coaches, administrators, former athletes and friends of the running community. Mr. Kaelin, in addition to many awards received as a teacher, has also been inducted to the: Covington Catholic Athletic Hall of Fame Newport Central Catholic Athletic Hall of Fame Northern Kentucky Coaches Hall of Fame KTCCCA Coaches Hall of Fame Instagram Tonight's combined KTCCCA/USATF awards ceremony will honor 2017s top athletes, coaches and contributors.
