Science Friction
Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump Putin & I discussed forming an impenetrable Cyber Security unit so that election hacking, & many other negative things, will be guarded.. 7:50 AM - 9 Jul 2017 When he came home and started watching CNN and NBC and seeing the criticism he was getting he tried to back away a bit from his joint task force idea with the Russians. Here was some of the pushback from his GOP friends: Sen. @LindseyGrahamSC responds to Trump's call to work with Russia, saying it's not the dumbest idea "but it's pretty close." #MTP 10:07 AM - 9 Jul 2017 Graham called the meeting with Putin "disastrous," and said "when it comes to Russia, he's(Trump) got a blind spot. Marco Rubio ✔ @MARcorubio Partnering with Putin on a "Cyber Security Unit" is akin to partnering with Assad on a "Chemical Weapons Unit". 8:14 AM - 9 Jul 2017 Sen. John McCain(R-AZ) : “I am sure that Vladimir Putin could be of enormous assistance in that effort ― since he’s doing the hacking,” he said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” Adam Kinzinger ✔ @repKinzinger Working with #Putin to combat cyber hacking & letting him take the lead in #Syria is letting the fox guard the henhouse... 11:00 AM - 9 Jul 2017 Trump once again seems to be the only man who can bring Republicans and Democrats together in bipartisan agreement that his judgment on Russia is terrible. Adam Schiff ✔ @repAdamSchiff A cyber security working group with the very perpetrators of the attack on our election? Might as well just mail our ballots to Moscow. 10:41 AM - 9 Jul 2017 Science Friction(BGP Political Correspondent): "Russia understands one thing; Brick Walls. Reagan gave them one option- a brick wall. This president offers them the equivalent of a Trump hotel with all the amenities. Russia is a country that is run by the mob- a mob of thugs, thieves, and murderers. They support the bombing and poisoning of children and assassination of anyone that opposes their cheating pilfering of the less fortunate . The head thug, one of the world's richest men, has stolen much of the country's wealth and doesn't blink an eye at killing innocent women and children and has political opponents assassinated right in the streets of Moscow. We have a president who has a man-crush on the Russian strongman. Has even called him a great leader. Putin has interfered in our election. It doesn't get any worse than threatening our democracy. Our president still makes excuses. Says other countries or people could have been involved as well. Russia has only 1/20 the economy that we do. We should be driving the conversation. There is no reason for bowing down to Russia and its thug leader. We are the United States of America. Russia understands one thing--- brick walls. Mr. Reagan warns us from the grave."
