Mickelson and Bones part ways

After 25 years together Phil Mickelson and his caddie Jim "Bones" Mackay are parting ways. They are both saying very nice things about the other but this does not add up for me. Why now? I feel there has to be more to this story than we are getting right now...

If there was ever a player/caddie relationship that I thought would last forever, it was Phil and Bones

Phil doesn't seem to be playing much, and he hasn't done that well lately. The caddy doesn't live off of endorsements, so maybe he needs to work full time...IDK.

Bones recently hired as an on-course reporter for TGC/NBC.
