You want playing time and plenty of action. Try this scenerio, one team is up by 40 at half time, the 2nd and 3rd groups play the whole second half. Now the same Players are going to play each other within 14 hours the next day in the JV game. Needless to say, your body would get pushed to the limit with all the hits and contact in both games, but you would get more playing time than a upper classman.

Ok, it looks as if everyone already has this game put in the books. Now if the 2nd and 3rd groups are going to play in the 2nd half who plays in the reserve game 14 hours later the next day? To me if you are looking for playing time it would be best to play JV.

How important is a JV game to different high School programs. I know for one it helped me develope into a better player, But if your from a small school, Is it worth taking a chance getting injured, especially if your looking for varsity playing time.

Looks like Highlands might have a pretty good contest with Bulldogs from Covington. They (Holmes) are quick and well coached and they have a strong secondary, I'm pretty sure Holmes scored on the Birds first last year. I hope the Birds bring their "A" game. good Luck both teams.

All agreed, But the one thing that I could not understand was why the leading tackler in the Ryle game did not play one play on Defense against Colerain? # 4 Travis Alford, was he injured? disciplinary actions? or what? I guess the best coaches in state know what they are doing and have reasons why they hold certain players back. It just seemed as if they could have used a fresh linebacker.

What a night for Northern Ky football. Highlands is finally going to get the chance to show the Tri-State why they are one of the best programs in the area. Even with all the adversity the Birds have had to deal with, all the Colerain field and seasonal records. Coach Mueller will have the Bluebirds in national ranking mode. You may be right. But I am really impressed with the TD runs TG has had against Power house teams like Beechwood and Ryle, right up the middle of their Defense's. He must really be a strong and hard runner.

The one weakness if any that the Cardinals have is Pass Defense. They have their hands full trying to stop Highlands attack. The Birds def has to stop the power running game of a young Backfield. And force CC in to passing situations. Recover a few turnovers, maybe score on specialties, And, I think the Birds should pull this one out. H-27 C-19

As usual the Birds Def was stingy. Martin, Rosie, Roller. and #4 was outstanding, quick, aggressive and physical. Not sure who #4 was but he had some nice aggressive plays.

Should be a good game. Ryle has a lot to prove and with the Bird's being disoriented with the lost of one of the best backs in the state, IMO I think the Bird's will be down. But, in saying that the Bluebirds will still win. H-27 R-13
