Clark needs to involve thier freshman big men more. Saw some really good minutes from both freshman centers in madison. Both have good footwork and rebounding skills. Hope Humphrey lets them get some P.T. and try to wear down Montgomery interior. Maybe the refs will stay out of this one and let them play, too many whistles against Clark in Madison county, of course it is that way in every game!

Good win for the CARDS. A really young team but with lots of P.T. our freshman will make noise for years to come! Cards are stacked for three years with post players if the coaching staff can improve them. Mark Miller just refused to give up and showed real guts and determination to pull this one off!!! On the other side, a healthy Madison Central and your talking a big difference in the game.

Montgomery will be the only team to give Mason a run for thier money in the tenth. Loaded with talent and well coached it seems in thier new system. Montgomery by 10.

Too bad we can't check the age of these players so you get a real feel for who is playing whom. If this is truly 14 and 15 year old freshman or 16 year old freshman. At this age one year makes a lot of difference and by the time they meet as seniors a lot of the difference will be made up!

Clark will be a team to be reckoned with this year. I saw the team picture and they had more size than I thought they would. Hope by the end of the season some of the freshman and sophmores can contribute. With the addition of Ryan williams , who is super fast and an amazing ball handler, the Cardinals will be tougher than most thought. Ryan Blair is an amazing athelete who will be awesome with some skills help.

Clark County is going to suffer from the same thing that cost them last year, no bench. when you can't go 8-9 deep and be competitive your chances at winning the state are slim. Last Year we had probably 8 players who were able to contribute. This year the bench is shallow mainly due to IMO cuts made by the coaching staff and not making returning players earn thier spot on varsity. I don't know if this is common in other schools, maybe fuel for another thread.

Let me give you a scenario: 21-14 is the score. The crowd has fired your defense up and they make a big stop on third down. Your star senior gets a block on the ensuing kick off and you get the ball at the 35 yard line. The crowd goes wild, your offense runs on the field ready and fired up! Down .....Set......TIMEOUT! WHAT you call a time out? You have got to be kidding me!

Gonna hate to see this group of seniors go. I would have never guessed this would be how they ended the great run they had since civitan football and Middle School days when they dominated. Great run boys hope some of you play on Saturdays in the future!

Clark lost not sure of final score couldn't bear to watch

Seems to me I saw a little ol' game in Lincoln County last year where a team that had beaten GRC earlier in the year went down in a very good overtime game!

GRC hasn't played to their full potential all year. With an all out effort by the seniors, and the line up changes that were made after the last time these two met, I don't see why Clark can't win by 14 points or better! The big question is which team shows up to play? It usually comes down in these early district games to who wants it the worst and is willing to leave it on the field.

Are there any high profile teams playing in tournaments this year? I was fortunate to see Oak Hill Academy and Alex Legion play last year at Bank One Classic in Bourbon County. Awesome time just watching these studs do warm-ups! Are there schedules out yet that would show who is playing where?

Nice place to watch a game if they would tone down the celebration after scores.

Really hate to say this but Clark County cut a lot of the best players who tried out this year. I was very disappointed they kept some and cut others! I guess when I am head coach I will keep skilled players and not my buddies kids! I wish some of the players would be more vocal when it comes to who makes it and who doesn't.

Clark County did get a 6'4'' freshman from ........................give up? Fleming county!
