Alex Mathews will throw for 700 yards and 12 TD's, bend steel, see through walls with his X-ray vision, and jump over a skyscraper in a single bound, and vault Shelby to the regional.

I will go with Superman also Hearsay. Do not think Madison has the kryptonite.

Let's hope the scoreboard lights are all working in this one. I'll say Shelby by 14.

The Rockets are on the road. Last meeting they won 28-10 at home. They can score a ton of points. They have very little on defense.

Madison Central won the 1st meeting 28-10 in Shelby County, but Alex Matthews did get knocked out of the game in the 1st quarter.

 

I think most people expected the Indians to be heading to Georgetown this Friday for a rematch with Scott County, a home game in Richmond is a huge bonus.

 

MC's defense actually matches up to what Shelby does on offense....there are athletes and speed all over the field.....Madison Central hasn't faired well with the power teams recently.....thankfully, Shelby is not a power team and the Indians should take care of business at home.

Matthews is all that. He can get the ball to the target consistantly and for short, medium or long gains. I credit a lot of the attention he is getting to his receiving corp. Without multiple targets that have the speed to get down he field and ability to catch the thrown ball, sometimes in a jump ball situation SC would be just another one dimensional team.

 

But as far as the one dimension they have they may do it better than any other team in the state.

Madison Central has had a difficult time with running teams this season. They gave up over 400 yards on the ground to Tates Creek's Ty Sparks. Tates Creek plays strictly power football.

 

I think the Indians have enough speed and athletic ability to stop the potent Shelby County passing attack. Alex Matthews is going to attempt 50 passes or more, but I think Madison Central will advance.

Alex Matthews should just throw the ball up in the air to his 6'7" receiver Cody Mintis ?sp?
