From what I'm reading about the Tigers, GRC will have to very, very good to beat them. There is talk in the papers that this might be one of the 2 or 3 best, if not the best, team ever to come out of Jefferson County.

You are right St. X I am sure is the favorite. The Cards are used to being the underdog and coming from behind to win. Dosn't bother them what the other team has on their jersey...or who is picked to win....they have shown that all year and in the playoffs. This should be a great match tonight.

That '91 St. X team lost to Trinity by 21 that year, lost to Male and beat a J-town team by two. I'm seriously doubting that anyone said anything about them being one of the best teams to ever come out of the county.

 

Apparently though, the Tigers lived up to the hype and finished the season as undefeated state champions with the 5-1 win. Congrats guys!

It was a good game... GRC let it get out of hand real quick going down 3-0 and allowing some easy goals right off the bat. Also missing two wide open goals early in the 2nd half was what did them in. Still proud of what you guys accomplished and what a great season you guys had. Congrats to X on the big win, best team I've seen without a doubt.
