Miles Simpson is a great athlete and a pretty fast kid. He should have a great year, depending on their O Lines ability to block for him. All of this talk about fastest players in NKY and no talk about Connor Brock from DHHS. He is easily top three is speed in NKY. He ran track and recieved a 10.8 hand-times 100. Officially his fastest time was a 11.1, I believe. Him and Doucet were the fastest football players that I saw this year, and I believe Doucet was a Senior. As far as all this talk about potential to become a Dl prospect, Miles Simpson has the attributes and speed to succeed in the next level.

Install the freeze option and the fullback will get a ton of yardage when everyone will keying on Brock and Wilson

Ryan Wilson led the (juniors to be) to a one loss season as a freshman. He has outstanding arm strength to throw the ball but needs a lot of repitition since he was injured most of the season last year as a sophmore to improve upon his accuracy. If they can go to the (i) formation set with Brock at tailback and install a freeze option it would be extremely hard to defend based on both players speed and athletic ability. Plus the fullback would be keyed upon a lot less therefore finding good yardage up the middle. Hopefully Spritzky will keep a fullback in front of Brock most of the time and get away from the one back set. He has always ran better with a fullback in front of him. Remember offensively establish the run and defensively stop the run and good things will happen

Brock and Haggarty, before his season ending injury, both started for the team last year. Their defense will be pretty good this year with Gotsey and Raliegh

Highlands is too high. I would flop them and Dixie with the #3 and #5 spots. With Simpson just coming back and McGraw's back problems they are not a top 3 team in NKY.

Dixie had a sophomore (Tristan Luke) and a Junior (Chris Tolson) quit the team this past year. Tolson quit during the middle of the season and Luke was not there for the last couple games. If these two players return next season I could see Dixie having a pretty good line, probably with more speed than last year.

Connor Brock from Dixie Heights will move from the slot to tailback in 08' filling the shoes of a very respectable tough running back M. Maloney. Watch out for the #26 he has incredible speed w/ability to catch the ball out of the backfield

Josh Conner is the obvious pick for the best running back in NKY. Tiepel (Beechwood), Simpson (SK), Brock (Dixie) should all have solid upcoming years.

Something has to give when Kendall (their best player), Ballard, and Pompilio all come back. After Dixie's four seniors, that started last night, they were basically playing their JV team. Look for the Colonels to make a run in the tourney when everybody is back.

Dixie was still without three of their starters!! Nobody has mentioned that. One of the best shooting Holmes teams that I have seen in a while. It will be interesting to see these teams matchup again in the regional tourney.

Congrats to Boone County. They played a good game on both sides of the ball. Farris, Bogle, and Doucet are three of the top players in the area. Dixie made some mistakes that cost them the ballgame. I still cant believe they didn't have a safety back on the 3rd down late in the game. Boone County has a good football team and they are very well coached. I would like to see a Boone County-Highlands matchup after seeing both the teams play.

I know that Dixie picked up one player from St. Henry. Boone County has the best incoming Freshman class. However, you never know with kids moving up at the Freshman level. There are always cases of players that play up all year (JV or Varsity) and then come back down for the tourney. What is the word on St. Henry getting a football program? I know that is has been discussed for a couple of years since the new building was built.

This Dixie team is feeding off the emotions of last years team. I don't see anything changing this year. It will be interesting to see what O Dixie goes back to the spread or uses a TE and FB more like the Holmes game. Let's see if Dixie can bounce back from the Holmes game and contain Farris. Boone would have the best shot. With Bogle and Farris they will have a very explosive offense.

Raiders by two touchdowns. After losing to Highlands last week they should bounce back and beat a smaller school.

I think taking away their best wide receiever and their best player in the secondary had something to do with the outcome of the ballgame. Especially a team that goes 5 wide. Detmer gets over half of the balls Bricking throws. I'm not taking anything away from Beechwood, because their QB/RB played well in the second half. But not having Detmer offensively hurt the Colonels.
