I guess they drop Lloyd and Prestonburg and pick up Highlands and Walton. I am aware of the teams, I was looking more for how the schedule stacked up. Kinda like, do they open with Dixie and follow with Highlands and Cov. Cath.? Things like that would be a tough start.

Committing and signing sound like two different things to me. Why would he only committ on signing day instead of signing? Anyone have any insight on this?

I don't know much about recruitment and how it all works. But does grades and gpa and how one scores on an ACT come into play? I am not saying this is the case here, I have not idea. I know nothing about this young man! So, for those of you in the know, does that keep a kid from getting a scholarship?

Good point! The Freshman QB two years ago was moved to defensive end and maybe wideout (or tight end) last year. He is a goo QB too. They move them around at this level very often.

Doesn't something have to be said about Coach Wolfe and Coach Roedig working in the public school system (putting money away for retirement) and then moving to a private school and having the opportunity to save in that same retirement package (in the same way I do not belive that Coach Siple could aford to move back to Kentucky after working in Ohio for the last 10 years or so). Keep in mind, I do not know either of these men and do not know how long they have been in the public school system or even if they have a wife and family; therefore, it may not be an issue for them. Shoot, some guys are only concerned about coaching, I understand tha. Anyway, most young men with families always are looking at retirement and making sure they can retire when the time comes. My question is: Do you think that the retirement issue (putting into the public and starting over in a private) could come into play for either of these gentleman?

I wouldn't let my kid play for Reece when he was a 9 year old for the Spartans! Keeping him as far away from that program is the best thing they could ever do!

Qryche11, from many of your post, you sound like a Bellevue kid who moved the Cake town. I played with Jon and for coach Benier. I think Coach Baldridge should be considered because like what LeatherNeck said about Coach Homer Rice starting the Highlands program rolling, I believe that is what Baldridge did at Bellevue. He got us boys believing that we could win. I believe that around that time with both Baldridge and Bernier, there was lots of talent in town and that helped their coaching shine. If I remember correctly, and this is only my feelings, Baldridge left to coach at college and Bernier left when he saw the talent pool getting low. For that reason and because I think he got the ball rolling, I would consider Coach Bill Baldridge too.

I would think that some of those boys would be worked in on speciality teams. I realize that isn't 'starting' or even significant playing time; however, it is valuable playing time IMO. Some names for specialities could be Cruse, Everett, Brilz, Lawless, Flannery, Verkamp, Breyley, Greenweiler, etc. Again, that all depends on growth and off season workouts.

I heard Beechwood left right after they were honored; didn't even stay for the game. Seems a little odd to me.......

Two personal fouls will result in an ejection. The white hat called the 2nd foul an unsportsmanlike conduct; therefore, #60 had one personal foul and one unsportsmanship conduct foul. It was a farce, he was out of control and should have been gone! #60 probably could add about 10 holds to his resume too.....he was getting beat all day long by #56 in red and he was very very frustrated! Anytime a offensive lineman wraps their hands around a defender....its a hold, its a hold, its a hold!
