IMO, Beechwood should start being a little more humble. I believe 3 out of the last 4 years, they have finished the regular season with a 6-4 record. Thank God the KHSAA lets everyone (or almost) everyone in the playoffs so they can pad their record a bit.

I don't THINK it is an exodus of players. I can't think of anyone that has moved out. There are still families moving in and tuition students. I know for a fact that there is a great commitment to the weight room too. I agree with Guru, it isn't what it use to be....not sure it ever will....

IMO, those small river towns just do not have the kids anymore. If I look on the KHSAA website, Bellevue has 27 kids on the roster; Dayton has 27; Ludlow reads as having 28. Their A counterpart Beechwood has 54. Also, I wonder about the community involvement in those communities.

I would say that Bellevue will be in the top 10 before the season is over.

NO WAY! Officials are too busy during a game to pull for one side or the other. Also, I honestly think they could care less who wins. They just want to call a good game so that when they watch the film the next week, they look good to the entire association.

I watched ND earlier this week against Cooper and all I can say is WOW! Looked very good to me!

Amen! A few years back I went to a game at Dixie between two nky teams. It was just a regular season game in my mind but they jacked the price up to 10 or 12 bucks to get in. I'm still not sure why I had to pay that kind of price for a 5.00 game. Doesn't make sense to me.

I don't have any burr in my saddle. I apologize for portraying that view. I am just disappointed in the way the program is going; and right or wrong, I blame the coaching/leaders. It may not be fair but not much in life is. I know how hard those boys work and I would like for them to win a championship (as I'm sure the coaches would).

Well, first off. I never said 'Great'. But not surprised that you would put words in my mouth. But, whatever! All I know is that they have embarrassed you and the Beechwood staff the past 3 years and you guys have a huge monkey on your back that you can't shake. I just love how when you guys lose to them 'Beechwood is down', 'we got beat by a better team'. I have been to the banquets and I have heard your fearless leader say those things. I guess if he says it enough, it becomes true in the other coaches minds. This is only my opinion, but you guys need to look in the mirror and quit throwing the kids under the bus. They work their tails off all season long only to see their staff scramble like little school girls when they play a competitive team. I can tell you for a fact, the folks in Ft. Mitchell are tired of that. Last year, at halftime, there were no visible adjustments from your side after halftime. The winning team adjusted. Also, I will not believe for a minute that the 2011 team was not as good as Mayfield. Choked again! I understand that sometimes teams are just better than others (see above) but in this case, Coach Morris is 2 or 3 steps ahead of you guys. I'll bet you a hot fudge sundae that if the two of you make it to the semi's again this year.....same result.

They can beg to differ all they want. They can't beat Beechwood and haven't been close in several years. It's a walk in the park until they get to the semi's. PERIOD!

I hope you are kidding. Shoot, I blind man can see that in single A there is no one to play until you get to the semi-finals. Nice try though to pat yourself on the back. You crack me up!

Mayfield! Hands Down!

I have said for 3 years now that Beechwood has been out-coached. Last year it was close at half, Mayfield adjusted, Beechwood did not and got smoked the 2nd half.

Rash is 1-6 VS Cov Cath. I never knew that. IMO, if he wants to get this program back where it was before he took over, he needs to win a few of these games.

I won't be going. Still disappointed that the coaches dropped the ball last year and couldn't organize enough kids to play.

I know there are some old school guys that played in the NFL. Maybe Reddog Daughtery (or one of his brothers) played in the NFL. I think there may have been another one or 2 also, but I don't remember them. Before my time. My List: Jon Sutkamp Jack Hurtt Mike Sutkamp Anyone?

My comment may indeed have 'been over the top' or a 'cheap shot' in some folks mind; however, in my opinion, the program, parents involvement, dedicated kids gets Beechwood to the 4th round of the playoffs. The first 3 rounds of the playoffs are a joke (Frankfort can compete sometimes) and usually won by 30 or more. At some point, this coaching staff has to take some responsibility and admit they are not what they think they are. Again, this is just my opinion.
