Thanks for the update.

I'm guessing "Hendrick" is actually Hendrix who I have heard really good things about.

Sounds like a crazy 3rd quarter.

Far too many mistakes by the young Colonels in the first half but after a stern talking to at half time, the Frosh woke up, to play the game as many think they can.

CVH did not play due to his injury but Hentz did a good job.

Stars of the game for the young Colonels were:

On offense:

Matt Schrand

Mr. Schrand scored three TD's on runs of 80, 53 and 13 yards.

On defense:

Anthony Best

Mr. Best had by my count, two interceptions and also scored a TD on a 51 yard TD run.

Tip of Theoldguy hat to Wyatt Hatter who until today had never tried kicking a PAT but Mr. Hatter hit on all five of his five attempts in today game. Outstanding job Mr. Hatter.

Oh for those wondering, the young man who kicked the PAT's for Cooper HS name is indeed Cooper!

You are correct Clyde. Not to put him in anyone's shadow, but he is the younger brother of the talented Varsity player Aaron Morgan. The Hendrix kid missed some major practice time due to a severe injury, but seems to be on the way back to full strength.

Totally agree on Hatter. He stepped up and played a huge role on the team. Congrats to him.

In regards to the game, I'm not to worried about this game for the colonels. I'm making no excuses for them, just saying that it was their first game. The weather was on off rain, saw a few guys reall struggling with holding the ball and catching it on both sides. And it they are without many key players. The blue colonels will be fine done te road. Coach Edgington with have them back on their feet for CC I believe next week, who they played in a scrimmage.

Cooper had some nice players. In surprised on go well try looked. I'm sure they will have their fair share of wins this season.

Goodluck to both teams this season!!

Sorry for the first name mistake. As you might have noticed, I had it spelled correctly in the scoring summary.
