Whitley has improved alot this year, any stats?

How has basketball taken over (most) of baseball season? I didn't know high school teams went to spring training in Feburary.

Dec. 1 would be a good time for football to be over, basketball season overlaps baseball practice, but not games like football does basketball. I always thought the bye week at any level wasn't necessary.

Big early season game at Corbin Tuesday, IMO two of the final four of the region this year. Should be an intense game, Hounds 68 Clay 60.

Well....I sure didn't see this one coming, very good win for W'burg.

North will roll in this one, Jackson Co. lost way to much last year to just reload.

Part of this attitude may have happened by the head coach not being there, but IMO they should respect the rest of the staff to not act this way if its true.

IMO W'burg would have to keep the score in the 50's to have a chance, after seeing the Pineville score, not going to happen. LC 84 W'burg 69. The Jackets may have a shot at LC when they play in W'burg if they get to their potential by then. I feel like LC will win at least 15 or more this year.

I listened to part of this one on the radio, Cody Miller had close to 30 at the end of the 3rd, good win for the Panthers to start the season, closer game than I would have thought.

IMO any win (home or abroad) is all good, some are just better than others, I look for WC to be much improved this year and have a good season.

This game I felt would be much closer, maybe even a W'burg win, with all the players P'ville lost from last year. Hard to beat Coach Strange.

LC has a huge frontline and some really quick gurards who can shoot the 3, this should be the first of many wins this year.

Does a kicker like the one from Bell Co. (a really good one) have a chance at this award?

I agree with you on this; Cannonball must not know about Coach Hilton, he sure won't be how coached.

From what I saw*41 did not hit a shot today, and only attempted 3 or 4, seemed really slow to me. Corbin today was much better than I expected them to be. Josh Crawford looked better today than he has since he was maybe a soph. I agree Coach Crawford brings something to the table for Corbin, a good addition. GRC has many tools and will get much better as the season goes on I really liked #44 and #21.

Home field will mean alot for the Hounds, just like it did for NCC last year. IMO Corbin's game plan of mostly running the ball plays out better this time of year when it is cold, maybe wet,etc. than mostly passing the ball. Should be alot of people from the far North in the area next week, in Corbin and at Whitley, I for one hope they all have a long sad trip home.

I listened to the last 5 min. or so KC had Bell right were they would want them at 3rd and long and the shovel pass killed them, great call and what a time to get 70 yards, good luck Bell hope you win it all this close game may be just what the doctor ordered. UNREAL how far KC has came the last few years, how many seniors do they lose?

Great Job Corbin!! Campbell had a huge overall game and Watkins ran the ball really well, maybe its payback time from this time last year.

Well heck, this game should not even be played then if we look at this record! Just give Highlands the win. Seriously, I understand were you are coming from and you have real point, but stranger things have happened in sports.

Great Job Whitley Co. IMO Highlands are a hand full for most anyone, but Whitley is in a position to pull a huge upset. Will it happen who knows, not likely, but possible.

Ok I remember these guys now, Brad was one tough cookie himself, only at Corbin not Whitley.

LCC would have left school early enough to do all of that anyway IMO. I seen Bath Co. buses at Corbin last week around 4:15 or so last Friday. Whitley wins 28 to 21 I hope but LCC sure has a coach thats been through these before with much success.
