  1. Pugh has been playing left field as well, which he didn't play once all season.
  2. Tonight the Colonels weren't on top of there game. But the student section sure did!!
  3. I think if Conner would have won this game, they had a great chance of beating CCH with Samad on the bump.
  4. IMO, Coach Arlinghaus could have taken either of the two pitchers out a batter earlier.
  5. I thought the campionship was on Thursday?
  6. I think if the big Conner hitters can step up they could make some noise at champion window
  7. If Samad has an arm issue this could hurt them in the regionals
  8. Ahh sorry me. I just got excited about a championship match up as it is the first for the Cougars since 2004! At Conner tonight it was a great game. Possibly the best i have seen all year. No runs were scored until the fourth inning i believe. The first run was on a homerun, not sure by who. 2 of the Rebels 3 runs were scored in the fourth. Both Etscheid and Deno pitched great games. The Rebels looked like they had the game in the bag but Ryle tied it 2-2 and went up 3-2 in the top of the seventh. In the bottom of the seventh The raiders looked like they had it in the bag with 2 outs. Loeksak was on second with Alford at the plate. Alford hits a screamer down the third base line and was misplayed by Hempel. Run scores from second. Going into extras. in the top of the 8th Ryle hit a 3 run homerun, again not sure who hit it (dont know many names!!) which put the Rebels away
  9. West pitches 5 shuout innings for the Cougars. Pugh hits 2 bombs, one back to back with Shuttleworth. Congrats to the Cougars!!
  10. I'll say Boone 5-4. Who will be on the hill for both teams? Deno for BCHS and Etscheid for Ryle?
  11. To clear things up about Tolliver, she played for the same aau team since she was 10. She quit that team about half way through her last season. That team has won the aau state tournament the last 4 years in a row. 13's,14's,15's, and 16's. I have personally talked to 4 D1 college coaches who offered Chelsea a scholarship. The closest school was just over 5 hours away and she didnt want to be that far from home. She has had a stellar high school career scoring around 2300 points and playing as good as defense from the guard position as anyone in the state. I personally have seen each of the aforementioned players at the high school and aau level. I watched several of these girls at aau nationals last year and can tell you at 5'5 Tolliver is as good if not better than all these girls, not taking anything away from the others as they are all special players. IMO if LCA goes deep in the tournament Clifton or Martin would either one have one of the top spots. There are many great 2009 players and have raised Ky girls basketball to a new level!! Good luck to all the young ladies in the state tournament !
  12. The advantage will go to the girls on each team that play AAU ball in the off sesaon. Their adjustment to the floor size and lack of back drop will be much quicker than girls who have never been on "the big floor".
  13. You are correct sir! Therefore, we move #2 to the #1 slot. That makes the list look great to me! :dancingpa I am sorry. I just couldn't resist! :thumb:
  14. Conner’s #12 Allison Long finished her Senior Season last Thursday night against NCC. During the game, she scored her 1,500th point. For the year, Allison averaged 18.3 points a game. She also averaged 4.3 assists, 3.6 steals, and 3.5 rebounds per game.
  15. Thank you nkyvfan and thanks for all the nice comments you have made about Allison. I've always thought she was a special player, but I am prejudiced.
  16. Conner loses on Senior night. Seniors Allison Long and Gela Haynes were honored before the game. #12 Allison Long had 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 31 points. The Lady Cougars had a chance to win, but Allison missed a 3 point shot with 3 seconds to go.
  17. Kendra played up at last year’s AAU 16u Nationals with Ky. X’treme and held her own against the older girls, playing very well. After the tournament, we had several DI schools call and inquire specifically about her. Anyone that knows Kendra, knows she is just a great kid. She is a great student, hard worker, dedicated, respectful, a great teammate, and off the court has a wonderful sweet personality. She is definitely DI material.
  18. Torria Fisher is still wearing a shoulder harness. They are waiting for test results. She is feeling pretty good, so the hope is she will fully recover and not need surgery. Gela Haynes is out for the rest of the season with an ACL. Ellery Kring returned to play Wednesday night. You are correct, the rest of the season will be an uphill battle, but the Lady Cougars will give it all they have every night.
