Does anyone know if any games have been cancelled today?

The season is starting for Conner next Monday, March 22 at home vs. Holy Cross. Can anyone else tell me of any other opening games?

I know that Conner does not allow juniors on JV.

Does anyone know of any NKY teams who have scrimmages on their schedule?

I believe Conner will be trying to have a little scrimmage in their parking lot Saturday, weather permitting.

Conner will have their first day of tryouts today. Only pitchers and catchers though. Is there anyone else who hasn't been able to go?

No problem:thumb: I believe the loss of Hubbard, the only returning lefty, could hurt Conner's pitching staff this season.

I would put Dunbar down for one of the nicest in the Commonwealth.

West is playing this season. He has been attending workouts from what I have heard. But Hubbard will not be with the Cougars this season.

Jordan Liechty from Conner is a pretty sure gloved outfielder and can hit too.

You can never tell this early. Just have to wait for the games to start. And I would agree that Pugh will most definately get some innings this year.

I would have to agree. Except for the Ryle killing them part:lol: The 33rd may be the toughest district in the 9th this year. All three teams have solid pitching. But I think with West, Samad, and Russel returning to the mound they could be tough to beat. I have also heard Conner's Jody Hubbard isn't playing his senior season. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes. He tore his UCL against Bell County last weekend. I'm not sure when he will be able to return.

Why does a UC pitcher have to be compared to Isler? I'm sure that they have some pitchers on their staff who weren't the same caliber as him when they were freshman.

I think if Conner would have had Ernstes (sp?) in this game they may have pulled off the win. Just my opinion.

In the opening minutes, Hodges looked like he was going to dominate the boards. He then got into some foul trouble which limited his playing time. Conner sure knows how to battle though. They have a ton of heart.
