I don't see either of them throwing this game either. If Samad was healthy then he, West, or Russell could have thrown and Conner would still have an arm for Boone.
Game was tied at one going into the bottom of the seventh when Tates hit a bases loaded single to put away the Cougars. Mark Albrecht did a great job throwing strikes and letting his defense make the plays. He only gave up one earned run.
A back and forth battle but the Colonels come out on top. Nick West went 4 innings for the cougars giving up three runs. Warning pitched very well for the Colonels. Shumate pitched an inning and someone else, not sure who. Pugh had two homeruns. Siemer had a homerun. Not sure of any other stats. I'm sure TOG will have some :thumb:
St. Henry's starter kept the Cru in the game as long as he could. Conner flat out crushed the ball in the top of the sixth to put up 14 runs. Conner's starter had a rough night, but their relief pitcher threw very well allowing only 1 run. Conner is now 5-0 on the season.
