I would certainly agree. Brent Vernon is a great asset to Williamsburg's team and school. That was a great hire for so many reasons. All the coaches now from high school all the way through middle school do teach at Williamsburg. Vernon and Moses seem to be dependable coaches for the Jackets. Vernon would certainly help any coaching staff and I am sure they are glad to have him. Moses is hard worker as well. Jackets are starting to get some numbers on their roster. Should be interesting to see who is out there come December.

The Root kid is not injured. Not sure where that started but someone's intel is not correct.

When was the last time Lynn Camp played with Whitley?!?! Or beat Whitley???

Why is Whitley playing Lynn Camp?!?! Aren't they a 5A school? Maybe they had a hard time finding teams to play after a great season last year.

Does it make any sense to have schools that are AA or some even AAA in football playing in this tournament? I think the whole set up is messed up.

Sounds like these two teams went to battle. Whitley plays solid defense and that alone can keep you in most games.

No other sport is like basketball. The combination of strength, agility, speed, coordination. Mentally and physically it is one of a kind. No other sport combines all of the ingredients that it takes to be a great athlete like basketball does.

What does Jackson City look like? Are they returning a bunch of players?

I think from talking to people this maybe closer than we think. I think this needs to be done and many important people think the same thing. Don't be suprised if you start hearing some serious talk about this in the next few years.

I am giving the edge to Williamsburg. This game will be close, and as we all know close games come down to coaching. Williamsburg has a huge advantage with Coach Herron, and Coach Hatcher. These guys have been involved in many wins at WHS and they know how to get it done. I expect nothing less tonight as they will lead the mighty jackets to a great victory. Don't be suprised if Williamsburg has to come from behind to win.

Does anyone have results from the Regional Golf Tournaments?

I agree with having the region at the civic center in Corbin. This would be great for the area and you wouldn't have to split the sessions and go through that mess. I have to disagree when it comes to the top ten players though. I think at least 3 or 4 players are ahead of Crawford.

I will agree that Middlesboro is on a talent scale under corbin. This talent scale is really far under Corbin. Middlesboro has a tough time getting their elite athletes to play basketball. Looks like it is more than just a coaching problem. Sounds like the attitude concerning middlesboro basketball could use something positive.

Middlesboro is going to be the favorite in the All A this year. Not really sure how they will match up with the power houses of the region but it should be a good year for them.

Much of the info that is being posted on here is not correct. These practices are closed. For anybody out there saying they have attended a practice, I can guarantee that is not true. The only people allowed in these practices are people approved by coaches. (For example administrators, other coaches).

What happened with the coaches from WBurg? Why is there so much controversy between Corbin and Williamsburg?. Any info on the details of the game?

The Cejay Jones kid is playing really well too he is pinch running for Comparoni and he started at DH for Middlesboro this kid is definetly freshman of the year material. Good luck wburg the rest of the way.
