Good Luck to all these young men as they move up to their Varsity teams! The future looks bright for Beechwood and Highlands. Both programs are a little stronger from the impact players they bring. I know Highlands was deep with talent at every position, including O-Line and D-Line. A couple would start for any NKY team. I am looking forward to watching these two teams develop in the future. As Freshman do not discount your abilities, there are several Varsity starters (and D1 recruits) that were overlooked as Freshmen. Both programs are poised to become STATE CHAMPS. Enjoy the ride, next season it's all up to you. Good Luck! If you have never been a part of it, I can't explain it.

The Varsity Soccer Team played in the STATE Tourney last night as well. But the Fan support was also lacking a couple of years ago when the HHS-Frosh went UNDEFEATED. HHS-Frosh does not have Cheerleaders, go figure. Thanks to all the Football MOMS and the CANNON Crew!

A special group of boys, taking boy's soccer further than any Birds team before them. Again, our family extends our thoughts and prayers to the young lady's family, the team and the community. Too well loved to ever be forgotten.

The Birds came to play after the Bye-Week. The best D1 performances came from the Birds. Adam Dempsey, an All-State candidate, dominated on both offense and defense. Kody Rosenhagen proved to be a handful leading the defensive charge with a huge goal line stand. Big sacks from Dempsey, Rosenhagen, Martin, Newman, Laber. Offense was not out done with huge carries by Crawford, Head, Fennell. Austin Collinsworth is the best on defense and caught for clutch gains. Nick Buten must now hold the record with a 99.999-yard TD pass from Tony Guidugli. Birds played up and brought their 6A game.

Like who? It may because you are looking at a small school team. I can understand the roster limitations of a small school.

Congrats to the Birds on another nice win on their Road Tour of Boone County. Connor has a nice size facility and the individual player's banners are a nice touch. Connor's #42, #21 and #4 as well as the BIG Lines will be a major 6A powerhouse in the future. Conner scored on a dominating opening drive, pounding it in at the goal line. The Birds returned the kickoff to the 5-yarder via Sheehan. A couple of plays and the Birds were up 7-6. Later a deep route by the Oz and the Birds were up 14-6. The Birds ran the table the rest of the game, scoring with both Offenses. Defense held on 4th down situations and forced a couple of turnovers. The Birds' rotation is deep finishing the night with the win. This class will bring many impact players to the Varsity/JV next season. The Tradition continues... Class of 2012!:thumb:
