What happened to the JV game?... Scott County at HHS 11am

Birds' offense scored twice with runs from QB-Towles. Another long midfield reception from QB-Towles to WR-Gall for a score. On defense, LB-Lofland scores on the interception from midfield. Defense quickly transitioned into offense with huge blocks downfield. Strong DLine plays from Robinson, Cecil, Waldenmeyer, Dillon Carson. Nice KO-returns from Cris Carson. Go Birds! Next week Birds' JV at home against Scott Cty JV. Game time:11am

Birds' Homecoming game will not disappoint, everyone will be up for the home crowd. Good matchup pitting NKY's top running backs against each other. Birds' defense sees the challenges and is looking for its 2nd shutout. Birds' offense shifts into high-gear on their own turf. Glad these two teams are playing again! Birds by 21!

Congrats to Highlands JV! Highlands’ TEAM playing was outstanding today. Towles brought the leftovers from last night's air attack, highlight of the day was from the one yarder hitting Gall on a midfield pass who skampered the rest of the way for a 99-yard TD reception. When the Birds weren't throwing, the running backs were breaking away with True, Bowling and McGurn having a great day. Chris Carson had some outstanding returns on special teams. The Bird’s DEFENSE was the player of the game the linemen forced Davis, Beechwood’s QB, to throw into the Bird’s zone coverage, resulting in several interceptions, Carter New returned one for a TD. Well done young men on another win. :dancingpa

If I remember... this end of Beechwood Road is like Covert Run, a winding road without sidewalks and such. Folks may want to bring a flashlight for the hike back. Lions and TIGERS and bears, OM.

Go Lady Birds!

The Birds will see a different Beechwood team that played last week at Nippert. A homer will bring out the defending Champs they are. Birds defense is gel'n though, improving week to week. DBs on both sides will be challenged throughout the night. The determinants will be what strength the D-lines and LBs bring. Both teams will play tough all four quarters. Birds win by 21!
