Another impressive win for HH...

GG Blue Birds...:thumb:

The Birds took care of business in the first half. It's a good thing too, because the Yellojacket defense stiffened considerably after halftime. Highlands got close to a score in the 4th, but Central intercepted at the 1 yard line.*

Well, let's see. St. X beat Central by a margin of 23. We beat them by 28...in just one half. Guess that clearly settles the Highlands/St. X debate.

*Unless you ask the refs, who (incorrectly) called it a touchback.

You hate to see an injury with only a minute to play in a blowout; but it happened to the Birds tonight. Hunter Schlosser went out with what looked like a leg injury. I'm hoping and praying it's just something he can shake off and be back in action next week.

Austin Collinsworth returned the opening kickoff for the birds for ~ 85 for the first TD.

Austin had several other great catches and runs.

Nick Buten fought off a defender for a great catch.

Brandon Roller had a nice middle screen that went for a score.

Brandon also move to a monster type outside linebacker position and absolutely played awesome. He hits hard from the inside moving him farther out shut down the option and it gives him a bigger head start to crush people.

The defense was stellar!!!!

Birdsfan, Hunter will be alright. He told me it was just pain in his ankle and he will be fine. I was very impressed with the D shuting down Central's QB. He is a very athletic young man. What i do hate is the refs not calling the obvious calls like the block in the back against Laber.

Very impressive Highlands...congrats on #18.

Tony Guidugli is one tough dude. He had some nice long balls tonight and ran well too.

That coronation may be a little early but with the way the defense is playing it could be tough to lose if you can't get scored on.

Great news!

One of the posters warned of Central being a threat to the Birds. Sounds like the game was pretty one-sided. Congrats to the Birds as they head for #18.

I was worried that Central might have more speed than Highlands and cause them some problems. After last year, Central could sneak up on HHS and Highlands was clearly the team with more speed.

The Lumpster did a great job tonight..:thumb::thumb:
