JBS, Elliott Co. and Shelby Valley?
Good point. Like they say "size don't matter". Both seem to be great players no matter how tall they are.

JBS, Elliott Co. and Shelby Valley?
How small exactly are Valley's guards? I was at the 15th region championship last year when they played JC and these guys looked like 6th graders out there. No disrespect to either they both were tremendous ball players just wondering how small they really are.

BEN LOWERY FANS!
Yea. OK. BTW welcome to BGP.

Daniel Pugh
He also played safety for P-Ville for 4 years, which is where I suspect he will try to play at G-Town espically if they already have a bunch of options at the QB position

Paintsville-Bardstown Predictions
Paintsville 72-65... As BMR gets one step closer to the only title he hasn't been able to capture.

Johnson Central. What is happening?
So your saying all of their problems are because of the kid that transfered in from SC. Just because he hasn't been on teams with winning records doesn't mean he has a losing attitude. I think the problem with JC this year has always been there not a kid who transferred in from a team that didn't have a great win - loss %.
-
Is this Paintsvilles year?
The 15th region is pretty weak this year. They have to be the favorite to win it, IMO they are the most talented team in the 15th... of course they have been both of these things the past 3 years also and haven't made it.

What has happened to JC this year? Seem to be going through a really tough time right now. What is the overall record now?

Tate Cox From JBS(one of the Best Freshmen in State)
16 yr. old freshman. So is Cox and Stepp actually the same age or has Stepp been held back also?

Tate Cox From JBS(one of the Best Freshmen in State)
Sounds like the kid has a bright future in front of him. I wish him the best of luck. :thumb:

Tate Cox From JBS(one of the Best Freshmen in State)
Was Tubby really there to watch him only or was he there just to check out the games and other players as well. Does Cox have the potential to play at UK? I know he is just a freshman and has 3 years to mature, but you can usually tell when a player is special or not. What is Cox's size. Not trying to disagree with anyone or slight Cox just don't know much about him.

Ever been a KY High School team that could have beaten present Huntington, WV High?
He was a great player I got to see that '96 team play quite a few times. They were pretty tough.

Actually only two starters returned. Josh Mckenzie, Craig Ratliff (30 pts in the 96' championship game), and Matt Ratliff graduated.

No they wouldn't.

2A Championship: Russell vs. Mercer County
I don't believe it. Check out these links, they are links from Rivals.com and the first one list the top running backs in the whole nation, and the second one list the top all-purpose backs in the whole nation. I have looked myself through about thirty of these players and have seen 2 that have a 40 time in the 4.3's. And Mercer has 3 on one team in Kentucky that run in the low 4.3's? http://rivals100.rivals.com/viewrank.asp?ra_key=1477&Year=2007 http://rivals100.rivals.com/viewrank.asp?ra_key=1476&Year=2007

2A Championship: Russell vs. Mercer County
I never said they are slow I just don't think any of them let alone all three run in the 4.3's. Just because you don't run in the 4.3's doesn't mean you are slow.
-
2A Championship: Russell vs. Mercer County
WOW!!! Didn't know Mercer had 3 backs faster than any back in the NFL. BTW, everyone lies about these 40 times. I would almost guarantee no high school kid in the state of Kentucky runs a 4.3 40yd, it just doesn't happen, let alone 3 backs on one team that run in the low 4.3's.

Mercer's Defense
They are also a large 3A school playing in 2A. J/K, sorry Titan fans couldn't resist, I am sure you guys are tired of hearing that crap as am I. Good luck on Friday Mercer Co. :thumb:

Covington Catholic 38 Johnson Central 14 (Take #3)
This is the first time I have got to post on this thread due to me being away from a computer for a couple of days. First off, I would like to say I have never been more proud of any athletic team from JC than I am of this football team, you guys had a great year and now have something to build our program on. Next, I want to comend CCH, every fan I came into contact with were nothing but a class act and I hope you guys enjoyed your trip to Paintsville, oh and another thing you guys have one of the best high school football teams that I have personally seen in person. Good luck next Friday night.

Covington Catholic vs. Johnson Central
I've got a better idea, how about we get a headstart on the series. You guys travel down to Paintsville this Friday night and watch the Golden Eagles, considering we are still playing. :thumb:

Rockcastle County (11-1) at Johnson Central (12-0)
Your right InTheLoop,:thumb: I guess it just hit a nerve when I saw that post. Go Eagles.

Rockcastle County (11-1) at Johnson Central (12-0)
So you're what saying is if JC can establish a running game then they have a "chance". In case you forgot JC is favored to win this game. Why do you try to make it sound like if they play great then they have a "chance", as if JC were a 3 touchdown underdog or something. I think JC will win but I also know Rock is a great team, this game will be a knock down, drag out fight.
-
Rockcastle County (11-1) at Johnson Central (12-0)
That's pretty impressive, as a Golden Eagle fan I'm not sure of their all-time record, but I know it is now where close to the all-time record of Rock.

Johnson Central's stud linebackers
Great article. I have had the enjoyment of watching these two play quite a bit over the last 3 years and I must say it has been a pleasure. Good to see they are getting some recgonition.
