Love that these particular 3 made the Sweet 16. Would appreciate if fans of each team could tell us that haven't seen them what to expect in Lexington. Would like to know about the individual players, as well as the coaches. How are the communites of each reacting? What is the location of each 3? Really don't know anything about these schools,other than their size. Thanks again.

As Nets stated, Elliott County is known for thier offense but very, very underrated defensively.

I will always root for the 13,14,15 & 16th!!

1.Control the teampo of the the game very well.

2.Best ballhandler in the region in Justice.

3.Logan Bryant is extremly Quick going to the basket,

3.Suprisingly have some descent young athletes Hatified especially.

4.Play strict defense, and won alot of games like that.

5.Alot more talent on that team than people think!!

JBS Crusaders

(1) Guard play Stepp legit D 1 player, he is not selfish, but very confident.

Cox aka Clark Kent when you see him warm up he wont impress but he

can really shoot and drive. Clint Stepp if he is hot JBS is in any

game.

(2) Garrison Collins 6-9 soph (not a holdback). lets face it big strong you will notice him, Trey Short 6-6 good outside shooter who can rebound for a slim kid. Brock Childers one of the best defensive players in the 14th.

 

(3) Community reaction ; well most of the people of Pippa Passes came to ALC gym after the regional championship game for a Pizza Party. Our town is so small we kind of look at things from a County perspetive, and I think Knott County will really support this team.

Elisha Justice - Freshman PG: He will not get rattled, good spot-up shooter, and as good a ball-handler as you'll see in this tournament.

 

Logan Bryant - Sophomore SG: Up-tempo player that is super-quick, streaky shooter.

 

Ashley Hatfield - Freshman Forward: Great athlete, shoots well, and runs the floor good. He needs to avoid foul trouble if Shelby Valley has a chance to win.

 

Taylor Newsome - Freshman F/C: Physical and fundamentally sound. Can hit the 15 footer consistently and rebounds very well.

 

Jacob Bryant - Junior Forward: Probably Valley's most consistent scorer. Nice range up to 15 feet and has deceptive speed when going to the basket.

 

Valley's guards are small, but they handle the ball really well. Hatfield and Jacob Bryant have to stay out of foul trouble, and as a team Valley needs to control the pace of the game to win in Rupp.

Good Luck to June Buch School, Elliott Co., and Shelby Valley. I will have to pull for JBS because they are from my Region, but I will be for the winner in the Elliott Co. and Shelby Valley Game unless they meet up with JBS. I know that all three teams have Class Coaches.

How small exactly are Valley's guards? I was at the 15th region championship last year when they played JC and these guys looked like 6th graders out there. No disrespect to either they both were tremendous ball players just wondering how small they really are.

Both seem to be great players no matter how tall they are.
